Rakeeb is a Perseid scientist who worked under Hohne and was his assistant. He was extremely talented, especially in the field of theoretical physics. He assisted Hohne in creating a quantum teleporter and later arrived on board the Andromeda Ascendant with Hohne, to help Seamus Harper build a Tesseract machine to remove the Magog larvae from his body, which were hatching. While creating the machine, they accidentally caused Tesseracts to warp in from the future, stranding people and wreaking chaos on Xinti, which the Andromeda was orbiting. Meanwhile, Hohne was killed so that Harper could live. Rakeeb attempted to stop the Magog larvae from being extracted to save Hohne, but he failed.
