n24:abstract
Thomas Kenton was a scout from Virginia. In 1691, he and his sim companion Charles explored territory beyond the Virginia colony. Kenton took the opportunity to hunt spearfang cats, collecting their fangs for a bounty. Unlike many in the Virginia colony, Kenton treated his sim with relative respect. This probably saved his life. Kenton was captured by a group of wild sims. Charles was able to track Kenton down, and rescue him. When asked about his decision, Charles admitted that he found the life of a wild sim to be boring, since they lacked many of the modern conveniences Charles had grown up in. Kenton was the great-great-grandson of Edward Wingfield. The knowledge that his great-grandmother, Joanna Wingfield, had survived sim captivity gave him comfort.
