Skull stew was depicted on the Replimat of Deep Space 9 in 2370. (DS9: "The Homecoming") This food was identified by name in the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 430), which stated that it was available at the replimat. Scenic artist Doug Drexler created an image of the stew, which was located on a wall above the sign "Welcome to Replimat". A food fitting this description also appeared in "Sleeping Dogs" . In the episode, a Klingon galley is shown to contain a bowl of brownish liquid, with various bits floating it in, and a sizable skull submerged into it.
