n15:abstract
Marc H. Rudov is an American author, columnist, relationship coach and media personality who is a self proclaimed antifeminist. He explains his philosophy in his two books: The Man’s No-Nonsense Guide to Women: How to Succeed in Romance on Planet Earth and Under the Clitoral Hood: How to Crank Her Engine Without Cash, Booze, or Jumper Cables. Rudov believes he promotes equal treatment of men and women by criticizing Western feminism. He insists that feminism, although rational in its inception, has proven unjustly problematic for men in the arenas of dating, marriage, divorce, the workplace, and criminal justice. According to Rudov, this has resulted in laws that unfairly favor women. Also, he often rails against the modern interpretation of chivalry because he insists that it forces men to tolerate irrational and selfish behavior from women. Despite this, he encourages civility between the sexes when interacting with each other. Among his more controversial views is his belief in the abolition of child support for women who give birth while single. He also believes in the abolition of alimony altogether. His rationale is that Western women now earn sufficient money to do without these. Also, he often accuses women of behaving like prostitutes when they accept expensive gifts and invitations for costly dates in exchange for sex. Rudov has an MBA from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Rudov, as affirmed by many of his interviews, is Jewish. Before writing his books, Rudov worked as a marketing executive in the information technology industry. He is now a branding consultant. He has expressed his views on Your World with Neil Cavuto, produced by The Fox News Channel. On Cavuto's show, he verbally spars with Lis Wiehl, legal analyst for Fox and author of The 51% Minority: How Women Still Are Not Equal and What You Can Do About It. During these exchanges, Rudov takes an antifeminist position while Wiehl defends feminism. Rudov also has appeared on Fox's The O'Reilly Factor. Rudov's column appears in Men's News Daily, a conservative news and information website for men, and on NewsWithViews.com. In addition, his website, TheNoNonsenseMan.com, provides free podcasts, his columns and archived radio/TV appearances.
