Abnormal status Abnormal Status
rdfs:comment
In battle, Abnormal Status refers to any effect that applies to your party or the opponent party. They are characterized by an icon above the character or enemy on the field or above or below their HP, EP, and CP display at the bottom of the screen. A variety of effects can be applied to both your party and your opponents with the use of Orbal Arts, Crafts, and various Weapons and Quartz equipped. Your party can resist certain Abnormal Status with the use of equipment, while opponents can resist specific Abnormal Statuses themselves. Most Abnormal Status are effects that last a number of turns, but there are some that are instant effects at the time the skill or attack happens. Removing negative Abnormal Status is often possible with the use of Items and various skills. In Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2, players and enemies can have an abnormal status condition inflicted, inhibiting them in several different ways. Status conditions are inflicted by either enemies, items, locked chest traps, mystery circles, or angel/devil coins. All conditions are cured through healing springs, a Mighty Healing, or a Plum Rice Ball. Infliction of status conditions can be prevented by carrying amulets in active item slots, but will break after some time.
