Jerry Grant (born Jerome Gelfan on December 31, 1936) served as a contributing music composer for a total of thirteen Quantum Leap episodes, beginning with the Season 2 episoe titled "Good Morning, Peoria". Grant composed music for films and television during the 1980s and 1990s. Asides from his work with his own band, Spectrum, he also composed and arranged for a new 13 piece jazz orchestra he formed, Nujazz Alternative from 1998-2005, recording the album, Rush Hour: Jerry Grant and the L.A Nujazz Alternative. Jerry Grant (January 23, 1935 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Escondido, CA. He competed in nineteen Nextel Cup Series events in his career, mainly at the West Coast events. He earned four top-tens, bested by a pair of fifths, including the 1967 Daytona 500. After 1968, Grant had a hiatus and after one-race schedules in 1973 and 1974 finally retired.
