The most difficult game ever made. Seriously. In theory, Battletoads looked like a beat-em-up, but the fighting was just a decoy. The game was really made to KILL YOU IN RIDICULOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE HIGH SPEED ONE-HIT KILL AREAS. Battletoads was so hard that the game's testers didn't even bother getting through the whole game with 2 players, and missed an obvious and major glitch that made Level 11 impossible with a second player. Battletoads is one of the magazines that was stolen by Lisa Cooper at the beginning of the episode Father Figure. Because Lisa's father was living outside of Toronto because of work, she started misbehaving—including shoplifting comics from a news stand outside the Flatiron Building. When chased by the proprietor, she ran away and hid; and, as a result, she was the only witness to a gangland killing. She was kept in police custody for her own protection, and stayed at Nick's loft. Battletoads is a video game created by Rare Ltd. to rival the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games. In the story line, two anthropomorphic toads named after skin disorders (Rash and Zitz) have to save their friends Pimple and the Princess Angelica from the Dark Queen, ruler of Planet Ragnarok. The first game was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. The backstory of Battletoads, written by Rare employee Guy Miller, was also published in a Nintendo Power comic (Vol. 24 and 25). For the NES. * Rat Race Lock-Up Battletoads is a Secret superhuman training program made by the American government in the disguise as a rival of teenage mutant ninja turtles and a kid's game. Battletoads is the magnum opus of what Rare believed a game should be about - a difficulty level that can only be described as masochistic. As a joke hilarious only to them, they made the game have limited continues. Luckily for us, Rare eventually decided that games should be playable.
