The Vorash in Metroid: Other M resembles a large Squeept. Los Squeept son una especie de criaturas de fuego similares a calamares. Aparecen en Metroid, Metroid: Zero Mission y Super Metroid. Son nativos del planeta Zebes, donde habitan en la sección de Norfair. A Squeept was a hyperthermophilic arthropoid that was indigenous to certain areas of Zebes. They often could be found hiding within lava, jumping out using their mandible-like legs before diving back under. It is unknown why they did this, although one could assume that, like many other Zebesian life, they were territorial. As with all other species native to Zebes, it became extinct in the wild when Samus Aran finally destroyed the evil Mother Brain. They weren't seen on the Bottle Ship or the Biologic Space Laboratories research station, though the Vorash somewhat resemble large Squeepts.
