Sector 97 is a part of space located near Federation space, within which is a black cluster. Starbase 514 is located in this sector as well as several Breen outposts. In 2367, the USS Enterprise-D traveled to this sector to search for the SS Vico which had gone missing while charting the black cluster. Sector 97 was a region of space. The territories of the Klingons and the Romulans were located far from this sector. Within the sector, there was a black cluster and Breen outposts. Sector 97 is a region located near Federation space and is the location of a large black cluster. (CCG set: Premiere) In 2367, the USS Enterprise-D entered the sector to locate the SS Vico after contact had been lost while they were charting the cluster. (TNG episode: "Hero Worship") Sector 97 includes 14 administrative systems and one sovereign called Epsilon Boötis with its main planet Izar III, which has become, with its three million inhabitants, the most populous colonies, while perhaps also due to the mouth of the warp corridor in one of two epicenters throughout the region. At a distance of 23 light-years from Izar is Auberantus system, in which the fourth ocean planet hosts the submarine base Heavenward - Starfleet Academy and Command for this sector and other administrative offices and institutions.
