The world was part of the Vast Empire in 12 ABY, and became part of Stan's Galactic Empire later, from 139 ABY to 159 ABY. In this region of space, Stan and his forces sought refuge when Daara Zend took over the Empire in 159 ABY. The planet was in a region close to the Bespin system and the Yeda Republic. Directed to the Cragmoloid Boulad, Typho was able to instantly gain a report that one Darth Sidious had traveled to the fire world of Mustafar at the same time as the deceased Senator Padmé Amidala and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker were thought to be there.[4] Held by the Imperial Remnant throughout the Imperial Civil War, Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo was able to take command of this space in 9 ABY. After Thrawn's death, Ankus became isolated and independent, as the rest of the galaxy was invaded by the Yuuzhan Vong in 27 ABY. Remaining separate for nearly a century, the world was taken by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire as of 137 ABY.
