Corr's parents were practitioners of the Zhymmia religion. When he was 16 months old, he was discovered by Jedi Master recruiter Morrit Ch'gally and was taken to the Jedi Temple, even though his parents disagreed with the Jedi way, they thought it would be for the best, due to the family having financial trouble. He was trained as a Jedi initiate until he was the age of 12, when he was taken as a padawan by Jedi Master Kale Tonor. Corr eventually became a Jedi Knight and, later, a liked and respected Jedi Master, after training Skye Tintagil as a Padawan. Throughout his life, Elix Corr always was intrigued by religion and wondered about his own choices and beliefs. Corr spent much of his free time in the Jedi Archives researching religion. This research, added to his questioning himself led to him requesting that the Jedi High Council allow him to take a voyage throughout the Galaxy to study and observe other religions to help him reaffirm his faith in the Jedi way. The Council reluctantly agreed, and only because of the trust they had in him. They requested that he keep in contact with them and keep a journal of his discoveries."@en . .
