"by user Mcs81986 Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee announced he will be heading to this weekend. This is a very good strategic plan for not just him but for the Republican Party. has been trending Democrat lately with the election of Governor Bill Ritter, a Democrat. Gov. Also, former Republican Congressman Bob Beauprez’s ran for Governor and had to vacate his seat, which was won by Democratic Congressman Ed Perlmutter. Huckabee is planning on spreading his message, and the typical conservative message, of values and hope in a state that could swing either way in the 2008 Presidential Election. Perhaps he can bring out the morality issue. Perhaps he can get enough people to relate to what he is saying. Perhaps he will get them thinking, “I do understand what he is saying and I think he and Republican Party know what’s right for .” Huckabee will also be informing about his accomplishments as Governor in an attempt to win the caucus (which is definitely in the realm of possibilities). Although, he is considered a longshot candidate, the caucus isn’t until April 8, 2008, which is over a year. That’s plenty of time for Huckabee to make noise. And as we know, in 1991 there was another Arkansas Governor who wasn’t seen as a threat for the 1992 Presidential Nomination, and he would up being president for two terms. __NOEDITSECTION__ From The Opinion Wiki, a Wikia wiki.
