. "Traveus"@en . . "Traveus is a dwarven merchant who brought the party together. He met them on the road to Fallcrest and offered to pay them in exchange for guarding his carriage. However, he was attacked by the minions of the late necromancer Malareth and his mysterious box was stolen. The party retrieved the box, which contained a skull pulsing with necromantic energy, and it was found out that Traveus was on his way to the Cairngorm peaks to purify it. He owned a donkey, which is now thought to be dead after bandits kidnapped the party. When he reached the altar to purify the skull, he instead uttered an evil ritual to transform him into a demon lord in an explosion of fire. This destroyed the skull. The party fought him and the core hounds that aided him. He used powerful claw and breath attacks to harm the party and managed to knock every one of them unconscious once (except Ghazghkull and Jedcit, who were absent from the party at the time). Eventually, Eraamion killed the demon lord form of him and he transformed back into his dwarven form. He attempted to convince his former allies that the skull corrupted him and he was innocent, but they did not trust him. The majority of the present party elected to kill him, Meredith being the only one who objected, and Thofire carried out the deed with a stab to the head. He had an emerald on him, but no money."@en . . "Traveus is a dwarven merchant who brought the party together.
