Years later, he appeared again in a comic book story bearing his name. He is a wizard who is a cousin of Gargamel's, to whom he is similar in looks, but diminutive in stature, and apparently nicer though more powerful. In \"The Legend of the Butter Mountain\", a comic book story by Peyo that was actually a plug for Unicoolait (a French diary company), he is happily living on the outskirts of a village suffering from a drought that has not affected him. When the villagers appeal to him for help, he first offers to loan them money, then concocts a magic potion which he combines with a rain dance in an effort to end the drought, but it fails miserably. When the Unicoolait giant (the mascot for the company) helps out with a magic milk bottle that turns the village grounds from a dry desert to a rich grassland, a jealous Sagratamabarb retaliates by stealing the bottle, only to have the giant take it back during the night, and pouring out from it enough butter to bury the wizard's home completely, effectively creating a mountain of butter. After he digs himself out, the wizard vacates the premises permanently, which may account for his actions in the later Smurfs comic book story bearing his name. At the beginning of the eponymous story, he seeks the aid of various people he meets along the road for directions to Gargamel's castle, but they all flee in fear except for the Smurfs, who reluctantly show him the way. Upon arriving, Sagratamabarb announces himself to his cousin and shows him a will entitling him to live in the same area as Gargamel, which the other wizard promptly tears up. This starts a battle between the two sorcerers with the Smurfs caught in the middle, until Gargamel calls upon the power of Lucifer to destroy Sagratamabarb's castle (which a genie created as a carbon copy of Gargamel's), also destroying his own in the process. With Sagratamabarb realizing that there is no room in the Smurf Forest for two sorcerers, he decides to pack up and leave."@en . . .
