"Defining lists, compilations and articles"@en . . "AW10"@en . . . . . . "ESB:Petitions/Defining lists, compilations and articles"@en . "2015-04-30"^^ . . . . "This pettition is addition to what I have wrritten before:\n\nI think it will be good to officially define lists, compilations and articles, since titles of pages on this wiki have started to stop matching what they are about. Here are definitions of those words from Google:\n*[list] a number of connected items or names written or printed consecutively, typically one below the other.\n*[compilation] a thing, especially a book, record, or broadcast program, that is put together by assembling previously separate items.\n*[article] a piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication.\nSo, our current lists doesn't fit the definition of them: with all those incorporating-short-articles-into-list going on, they are more like some combination of lists and compilations and we should split them into two separate things, meaning that we should have separate articles for lists and compilations.\n\nTo conclude, if this passes, every \"compilation\" part of lists will be moved to \"compilation articles\", so no one's work on incorporating-short-articles-into-list will be wasted and we will have better organization of articles.\n\nMore, even an article with nothing but one sentence on it is a piece of writing included with others, so if this passes, incorporating-short-articles-into-list will have to stop. AW10/SigReal|06:28,4/30/2015\n\nEDIT: We can always expand short articles. AW10/SigReal|06:43,4/30/2015"@en . .
