In the years following his death, Hoth was highly revered throughout Jedi Order, as the Jedi considered his actions, along with the actions of Jedi Master Valenthyne Farfalla, to be one of the leading causes of the destruction of the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness. The Jedi believed that, by default, the destruction of the Brotherhood of Darkness brought about the ultimate destruction of the Sith, leading the Prophecy of the Chosen One, which the Jedi Order once believed foretold the coming of one individual who would destroy the Sith, to be discredited. However, the Order of the Sith Lords existed in the years that followed without the Jedi being aware of it. In 22 BBY, Sarus, the leader of the Ophuchi Clan of hermits on Tatooine, told Jedi Master Jard Dooku and Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi that Hoth's actions did not bring about the destruction of the Sith, causing disagreements between the two Jedi about Hoth's legacy."@en . .
