Sora was also the former lieutenant of Thirteenth Division. He is a well respected shinigami, who is often relied on for many tough tasks in the Gotei 13. He is known for being one of the most laid back captains of his time, who often relaxes too much yet somehow manages to complete all of his tasks. Sora is also one of the youngest captains in the Gotei 13, despite this he still is respected. Prior to joining the Gotei 13, Sora excelled at nearly every skill in the Shin\u014D Academy beating even the instructors. Later he graduated from the academy within a year, he was immediately accepted as a lieutenant of the thirteenth division. Due to his constant acts of taking out hollows and completing all tasks he was given, he was promoted to the captain of the Fifth Division. His lieutenant is Renge Sakuyagawa. Sora has lately been taking many mysterious leaves, which has led to some suspicion aimed towards Sora from other divisions, these mysterious leaves are due to his meetups with his SOD companions. Despite Sora's laid back side, whenever he is at a Captain gathering he would act more responsible and be much more respectful, especially to the Captain-Commander.
