They were members of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) from 1976-77 to 1989-90. During the summer of 1967, community-minded sports group purchased the Winnipeg Warriors from Ben Hatskin, renaming them the West Kildonan North Stars. For the 1976-77 season the Team\u2019s name was shorted to the Kildonan North Stars. During the 1986-87 season, the North Stars became so infamous for their winless streak that the MJHL took over the franchise. During the stretch from the beginning of the 1985-86 season to the end of the 1986-87 season, the North Stars had 6 wins, 90 losses, and no ties. Three years later the team was dissolved despite two consecutive winning seasons."@en . "1936"^^ . "North Stars"@en . "Winnipeg, Manitoba"@en .
