"Ville Jussi Sir\u00E9n (born February 11, 1964 in Tampere, Finland) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He played for his hometown Ilves Tampere from 1981 to 1985 and also represented his country in various tournaments. The Hartford Whalers chose him 23rd overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft but they decided not to wait for him to leave Finland. They traded his rights to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Pat Boutette in 1984. Siren signed with the Penguins in 1985 and played three full seasons with them. In the middle of the 1988-89 season he was traded to the Minnesota North Stars and played there until 1990. In that year Siren packed up and went back home to Finland. He also played in Sweden and Switzerland before retiring in 1999.
