"Szenjupendri Survivors for Reform"@en . . "Szenjupendri Survivors for Reform was an activist organization on Mezlagob, formed in response to the corruption scandal at Szenjupendri Prison, which saw warden Mondol Ens and numerous members of his staff accept bribes from Quisher Realty and Development, LLC to drug prisoners and create recidivism, driving down property values in the area to allow Quisher to acquire land cheaply. SSR, as its name suggested, was initially founded by prisoners who had been exonerated of their convictions after the Ministry of Justice investigated Szenjupendri's records. The organization made a number of demands, including the prosecution of liable officials of both Quisher and the Mezlagob Correctional Authority, compensation for victims, the closure of Szenjupendri, and prison reform in general. It also carried out protests at Quisher's headquarters and satellite offices. The group gained broad, multispecies support on Mezlagob, and achieved a number of its demands. Ens and Quisher's CFO were both executed, and a number of Quisher agents and Szenjupendri guards received life and long-term prison sentences, many of them in Szenjupendri itself. The prison was kept open, but those released were compensated and their records duly adjusted. SSR's active membership shrank when the initial scandal had been largely addressed and the Nightmare War distracted the attention of the Mezlag sector. In later days, it functioned as a private watchdog group, reporting on suspected and reported prison abuses and advocating for allegedly abused prisoners to planetary governments."@en . . .
