Red immodestly agrees, boasting of the gym leaders and Team Rocket admins he'd defeated; unnoticed by Red, this puts Giovanni on edge. Giovanni realizes that it is unnaturally hot and deduces that the heat has been produced by two Magmar. Moments later, this is confirmed by Red, who spots two Magmar burning down the Pewter City museum. Red warns Giovanni to stay back and quickly charges into battle. Giovanni observes Red from a distance. Red sends out his Snorlax as a shield, figuring that Snorlax can heal himself as he sleeps. Giovanni watches Red fumble around for a plan and Giovanni decides that Red has courage but no strategy: not a threat to him. Red summons his Sandshrew and orders it to use Sand-Attack on the Magmars' fire. Giovanni then comes to the conclusion that Red's inventiveness is why he's won so many times, and notices that the Magmar only got angrier when Red's Sandshrew used Sand-Attack. Red then commands Sandshrew to run in a circle around the Magmar, whipping up sand and burying them in it. Realizing that Red is fast to adapt and definitely has the potential to be a threat, Giovanni pulls out a pokéball to deal with Red right now. But he sees Red return Sandshrew, and when Giovanni demands an explanation—the Magmar aren't unconscious yet, just immobilized—Red explains that he won't attack Pokémon who can't attack back. Giovanni chuckles to himself. Because the museum is ruined, they decide to split up. Giovanni gives Red a farewell gift, and they part on good terms. With Red gone, Giovanni sneers, commenting that Magmar are savage and intelligent; they persistently track down those who attack them, intent on revenge. As Giovanni stands there, the Magmar break out of their sand prison and attack Giovanni; in a flash, his Cloyster freezes them where they stand. File:Chap23p14GioRed.png As Giovanni walks away, he tells Cloyster to finish them. Pieces of ice, with pieces of the Magmar within, scatter. Giovanni says that when he'd heard of Red's victory over Koga and Lt. Surge, he'd wanted to check Red out for himself. Giovanni's jacket blows back, revealing a certain "R" on his shirt. Giovanni says that Red does not stand a ghost of a chance against Team Rocket."@en . "Write the first section of your page here."@en . . . . . "Character Debuts"@en . . . "1"^^ . . . . . . Koyuki is with Maho and Yoshito who announces that he will be singing with Belle Ame. Maho invites them out to eat, but Koyuki refuses because he has no money. Yoshito mentions that Chiemi Kuniyoshi was at the last restaurant they went to. Koyuki runs over and tells them he wants to join them after hearing this news, but Yoshito informs him that no ordinary people are allowed. On the way to Ryusuke's, Koyuki thinks about how he and Yoshito are from different worlds. While the band is at Ryusuke's, Ryusuke tells them about a dream he keeps having. As he's describing the dream, Koyuki realizes that it is the dream he had when he was sick. While Ryusuke tells them about the dream, Taira is able to join in as he has also had the dream. Saku and Koyuki also join in, describing parts of the dream as well. Ryusuke thinks that it is a sign that their band was destined, but Chiba protests, because he hasn't had the dream. Later as Koyuki is listening to his Chiemi Kuniyoshi cd, Maho and Ryusuke are trying to get his attention from outside his house. Maho throws a rock that breaks Koyuki's window and hits him in the face. Koyuki helps them climb up into his bedroom. Maho explains that she had to come over and give him an autograph that she got from Chiemi Kuniyoshi for him. While Koyuki and Maho are talking about Chiemi Kuniyoshi, Ryusuke finds the magazine featuring Maho next to Koyuki's bed and brings it to their attention. As Ryusuke teases them, Maho asks Koyuki if she can stay over for the night. Koyuki is concerned about his parents finding out, but Maho says it's fine, because Ryusuke is here too. Ryusuke tells her that he's actually going home and hands Koyuki some condoms on the sly. Maho catches the pass off though and kicks Ryusuke before he leaves through the window. Koyuki is nervous about sleeping in the same bed as Maho so he tries to stay up, playing his guitar. When he tries to go to sleep on the floor though, Maho tells him to sleep in the bed with her. He's still nervous so he brings his guitar to bed with him. Maho rolls over to face him and tells him that she thinks he was cool in the Dying Breed movie. After a few moments of silence, Koyuki decides to ask her what their kiss meant to her, but after he asks the question, he notices that she is asleep. When Koyuki wakes up the next morning, he finds a note from Maho saying that she left at 6:30 AM. When he goes downstairs though, Maho greets him from the kitchen where she is having breakfast. She had been caught trying to leave the house by his mother. Koyuki later was punished by his mother for having a girl in his room. Meanwhile, Leon Sykes arrives in Kyoto. Ryusuke meets him while he is sight seeing. Ryusuke brings Beck's favorite treats to help him settle in. Leon interrupts Ryusuke's explanation about Beck's treats to tell Ryusuke that BECK's album is in the top 10 on the American college charts. Ryusuke is shocked, but quickly gets back to business and talk to Leon about what he came to see him for. At Koyuki's school, Koyuki notices Hiromi practicing. As he watches her, he is approached by Kigata who has joined the wrestling team. Kigata tells Koyuki that Hiromi probably likes him. As Koyuki is standing there, several girls approach him for autographs, because they had seen him in the Dying Breed movie. Hiromi notices this exchange. "Yuuri's back on Earth, having breakfast with his family. He's up unusually early, but it's because he's meeting Murata at Sea World. Shouri and Shouma initially think it's a date before Yuuri mentions Murata and gets rather agitated. Yuuri leaves before Shouma can finish saying that if there's anything he needs to talk about, he's there - even if it's about the other world. Murata and Yuuri are in Sea World in the height of summer. Yuuri was invited because Murata was rejected by a girl, but it was only fair since Yuuri drags Murata to practices and games for his grass-lot baseball team. Yuuri comments that tomorrow is his birthday and he'll be 16 and never had a girlfriend. Murata jokes a bit and offers to buy him a phone charm, but Yuuri's phone is broken and has no one to message anyway, since he's unpopular. At the dolphin show, Yuuri wins a dolphin keychain and a chance to shake hands with the dolphin, which he protests to. Yuuri's always been afraid of dolphins since he can't tell what they're thinking. Bandou-kun (the dolphin) jumps out of the water, startling Yuuri, who falls into the pool. Once Yuuri surfaces, he sees a shark's fin and desperately swims away. Günter and Conrad arrive on a boat, where Günter chides the shark (with an oar) for approaching Yuuri. Though, in Shin Makoku, sharks are vegetarians. They return to land where Yuuri has a chance to change. Günter, wanting to be helpful, has a giant duck strangled so that his flapping wings act as a breeze. Günter finds Yuuri's protests charitable and goes into another brief tirade before Wolfram bursts in wondering why Gwendal was the only one to go greet Yuuri. He's stunned to find the actual Yuuri standing in front of him. Conard and Günter explain that someone used Yuuri's name to commit a crime and Gwendal went to investigate since this criminal had something only the Maou could use. They summoned Yuuri to be sure that criminal was an imposter. The item that the criminal had was the Mateki, and only the Maou can play it."@en . "23"^^ . . "2"^^ . . . . "22"^^ . .
