He attended the 2006 training camp and was assigned to the Blues' farm team the Peoria Rivermen. Soderberg chose to return to Sweden rather than report to Peoria. In 2007, he was traded to the Boston Bruins for Hannu Toivonen. However, Soderberg continues to play for Malmo.
