Marcellus Traustein served as a ranking member of the Faschistische Gewalt-Partei and held a seat on the National Congress, the governing body of the party; he held the high ranking position of Chief Parliamentary Director of the Fascist Authority Party in the Imperial Diet from 2970 to 2984. Considered a candidate for the job of party chairman, Traustein never formally ran for the position.
