"Huib Johannes du Pon (October 28, 1910 - February 22, 2001) was a Dutch hockey player. He was a member of the Dutch National Team at the World Championships in 1935 and 1939. He scored the first official goal for the Dutch National Team. Du Pon played club hockey for HYS The Hague. He was also a member of the Blue Six Amsterdam, who played international matches around Europe, in 1935-36. Du Pon, who in 1941 was employed by Philips, married Beppie van den Bosch. During World War II, du Pon active in the resistance. In the Netherlands he worked for the Princess Irene Brigade. With his wife he was interned from 1943 to 1945 by the Dutch government in exile funded relief camp H\u00F4tel des Narcisses in Chamby, Switzerland. For this they were caught late 1942 and held until January 1943 at a camp in Bueren an der Aare. He also played field hockey.
