He played junior in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Chicoutimi Saguen\u00E9ens, the Drummondville Voltigeurs, and the Verdun Coll\u00E8ge Fran\u00E7ais. The Philadelphia Flyers chose him 50th overall in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Dupre turned pro in 1991-92 with one game for the Flyers. The next season (his first full year as a pro) Dupre played for the Hershey Bears. He finally got back to the NHL in 1994-95 with 22 games for the Flyers.
