"Victor \"Al\" Pease (born 15 October 1921 in Darlington, County Durham, England, United Kingdom \u2013 died 4 May 2014 in Sevierville, Sevier County, Tennessee, United States) was a British-born Canadian motor racing driver who entered five and competed in three Formula One races in the late 1960s. His first race, the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix, ended in non-classification, 43 laps down on the leader. He suffered a first flat battery on the starting grid, and lost six laps. He later spun and stalled on the circuit, suffering yet another flat battery. He ran back to the pits, retrieved another new battery, restarted the car, and finished, albeit 43 laps down. He failed to appear at his other two entries that year. Next season, he only entered the 1968 Canadian Grand Prix, and failed to start after engine problems. His final race, the 1969 Canadian Grand Prix, infamously ended in disqualification for going too slow."@en . . . .
