I brought this up a while ago, and I think the only one that could qualify for a rogue image is Talltail, since he did join them, (although for a small period of time before leaving again) and the entire group (Algernon, Bess, Reena, ect) are called rogues many times within the book. Talltail was called a warrior the entire time too I believe, and he has a loner image. I think Jake also joined the rouges for a small time. He was with Talltail during his entire stay. To me it sounds like Talltail needs rouge added and Jake needs both Rouge and Loner added. --Stealthfire star (talk) 00:22, November 27, 2014 (UTC) Talltail was not a warrior the entire time. He left WindClan of his own accord to travel and find his place in the world- this was even approved by Heatherstar. Jake was still called a kittypet and he even said something along the lines of him always being a kittypet when Talltail asked him to join him in WindClan after he decided to return. Then do you think Talltail needs a rouge image added? Burntclaw (talk) 00:28, November 27, 2014 (UTC) I see your point but than again, he also said Talltail will always be a warrior. I'm not sure how that fits. Yes, I think Talltail could be added as a rouge with an image. --Stealthfire star (talk) 02:12, November 27, 2014 (UTC) if Tallstar left WindClan, he was not a warrior during that time. He was a loner. He did not officially become a member of the party of the rogues, so he would not need a rogue image. And why are w worrying so much about the images? Why? The history, the material is the most important. Not the pretty tabby cat images. 03:17, November 27, 2014 (UTC) Cross out the rogue part. He was called a rogue. I misread. 03:18, November 27, 2014 (UTC) We never said that Chararts are more important than the material, we are both PCA members so we should be concerned if anyone might need a new image. Burntclaw (talk) 04:55, November 27, 2014 (UTC) Yeah, but I already brought this up before (there are archives for a reason, please check them) and I think it was decided that Jake wouldn't get one, since he was constantly called a kittypet- I think he just went with Talltail so he wouldn't be alone, and all of that. It honestly seems like someone just beating an already dead animal for some extra food. I'm just going to interject here that the best way to progress this conversation is to actually get out the page numbers and quotes specifically from the books. Also, I suggest separating whether the cats are rogues or loners. They're different titles (barely, but still) and we have different linearts for them. Our current definition of loner is \"cats living on their own who do not belong in any Clan, are not looked after by Twolegs, and don't trouble the Clans\" with the exception of the Original Arc. Decisions can always be rewritten too. On another note...guys, it's rogue not rouge. Rouge is red in french. Il n'est pas bon. 05:58, November 27, 2014 (UTC) I will gladly provide cites for this. Tallpaw calls the visiting cats (Algernon, Bess, Reena, Sparrow, Mole) rogues on page 141. The quote is as follows: Tallpaw shrugged. \"All I know is that they're rogues and they come every year to spend greenleaf with WindClan.\" Pages 285-291 is Talltail's conversation with Heatherstar about leaving WindClan and traveling, and he is called a rogue by a black she-cat on page 317. Talltail stopped a tail-length from the bush. \"Before they do, can you tell me if you've seen any rogues around here recently?\" \"Only you.\" The she-cat backed away. Talltail gazed at her wearily. \"I'm a Clan cat.\"' So basically he's called a rogue by a kittypet, and says he's still a Clan cat, despite him leaving. Pages 321-324 have Talltail in a Twoleg den, being taken care of by Twolegs due to him eating a foul rat. Worth noting is that quote on page 324, towards the top of the page, that says: Be brave! You left your Clan. You don't need anyone! This clearly proves that Talltail has left WindClan, as supported by Heatherstar's approval and she never denied him the chance to go due to the sign from StarClan. I believe him also being cared for by the Twolegs also gains him the kittypet rank as well, since he was held against his will and told by Jake that he could not leave on the top of page 322. He constantly denies being a kittypet, but it's clear he's being held against his will, just like Graystripe, only for a shorter period of time. Sparrow in particular, in case you needed another cite, is also called a rogue on page 334: Talltail dug his claws into the blue pelt. \"More important than you could imagine. I have to find a rogue.\" he meowed. \"He killed my father.\" Jake bristled. \"Killed him?\" \"My father, Sandgorse, was the best tunneler in WindClan. But Sparrow made Sandgorse take him into a tunnel that wasn't safe, and when it collapsed, he ran away.\" The quote goes on a bit more with some narrative, but you get my point. On that same page and going on to the next, Jake says that he'll help get Talltail out of the Twoleg nest, but only if Talltail let's Jake go with him: Jake thought for a moment. \"I can tell you how to escape, but on one condition.\" Talltail narrowed his eyes. \"What\"? \"You let me come with you.\" \"I thought you liked being a kittypet!\" Talltail glanced down at the soft, red nest. \"There's none of those out there.\" He flicked his tail towards the window. \"I know that.\" Take told him. \"I don't want to join your Clan. But if you're on a mission, I want to help.\" That goes on for a while as well, and Jake also says that he wants to explore beyond the fences and all of that fun stuff. They manage to escape on pages 337-338, and they meet Quince on page 339. Jake specifically tells Quince that he's going with Talltail. Soon enough, they meet (the lovely and awesome) Jay, and they finally meet the rogues they're looking for on page 378-379. They are, again called rogues at the top of page 379, and this happens multiple times throughout the book. On page 382, Talltail expresses an interest to join the cats (although we all know this is a lie to get to Sparrow): \"Everything's fine. But... when I watched you leave at the end of greenleaf, I realized that there was more to see than just WindClan territory.\" [Talltail] felt his fur smooth as he eased into his story. \"I was hoping you'd yet me travel with you.\" Algernon speaks and calls Jake a kittypet at the same time, which kinda proves he's still just a kittypet, but I think since he left his Twoleg nest, he could maybe get a loner rank since he even says he wants to explore and all of that. Talltail also says on page 383 that he wants to see what it's like to live free. On the bottom of 384 and part of 385 is an interesting conversation between Jake and Talltail as well: \"Come back with me.\" Jake pleaded. \"You're not safe here.\" \"This is why I left my Clan.\" Talltail hooked out another wad of moss and dropped it onto the pile beside him. \"But you can go back to them, can't you?\" \"I'm never going back.\" Talltail growled. \"Never?\" Jake leaned closer. Talltail felt the kittypet's breath on his cheek. \"But you're a warrior.\" \"You don't have to belong to a Clan to be a warrior.\" The words felt empty as Talltail spoke them. Was that true? Jake says like a paragraph below that he's staying with Talltail if he refuses to leave, saying that it's their mission now. Throughout this whole ordeal, both Jake and Talltail hunt, sleep, and eat with these rogues, essentially staying with them. It keeps going on like this for a bit, and then the Talltail and Sparrow confrontation happens, where Sparrow is again called a rogue. As of page 419, Talltail doesn't know if he'll go back to WindClan, and another paragraph states that he was destined to travel alone. On page 420 (ahahaha blaze it) Sparrow calls the entire group rogues, saying that they won't be visiting WindClan because \"rogues like us don't belong in Clans\". On page 421, Talltail says yet again that he has left WindClan. After that, then Talltail says to Jake that maybe they should travel more, but Jake eventually convinces him to go back to WindClan, saying that he'll always be Talltail's best friend and all the tearjerking stuff. So yeah, you asked for quotes and page numbers and I do think this suffices. If Tallstar gets a kittypet for sticking with housefolk for a short amount of time then Jake should get a loner for leaving them. Whether or not that's how they identify is not important to their ranking which depends on their lifestyle. Jake lived as a loner and Tallstar lived as a kittypet - they get the corresponding rank. 7:42 Thu Nov 27 2014 I think I agree with Raelic. Tallstar lived the lifestyle of a kittypet, Jake lived the lifestyle of a loner. I think they also temporarily joined the rogues, so could be considered a rogue too. --Stealthfire star (talk) 07:30, November 30, 2014 (UTC) Anymore comments? ~ Burntclaw Yolo \u266B \u266A 00:26, December 9, 2014 (UTC) I don't think there's going to be anymore comments on this, so it would probably be safe to say that you can add this to his article, since he clearly lived the life of a loner."@en .
