Jonas was also a grad student at NYU in Forensic Anthropology, which connected with his interest in sketching. On the day of his murder, he ordered Thai food, which was delivered. The first suspect in this murder, Morlock, is a no-go because of his porphyria and the daylight 'kill window'. Daemon's watch broke in his fall, setting time of death as 4:00, October 27th. The unfolding of the tale will reveal that Daemon was helping Crow piece together the identity of the woman who haunted his dreams, Matthew's birth mother, who was murdered in front of the then-toddler's eyes by the nanny who desperately wanted to take her place in the family. When it became clear the boy's memories were resurfacing, the killer took steps to eliminate him, and pin the murder on his 'weirdo' friends whom his father already disliked, disposing of Jonas too, as he knew far too much about the probable true identity of Crow's 'Angel of Death'. Jonas was shot dead, though not, as Castle observes, with a silver bullet, but a mundane 9 millimeter."@en . . .
