Born on 24th January 1977, Tracy was raised by Deirdre and her second husband Ken Barlow, who adopted Tracy after Ray lost touch with the family. Tracy was a sensitive, unpredictable child who took disappointment hard. She was close to Deirdre but the end of Ken and Deirdre's marriage in 1990 marked a turning point in their relationship - like Ken, Tracy hoped they would reconcile and felt betrayed when Deirdre had other boyfriends. She grew into a moody, sullen teenager who questioned everything Deirdre did and at sixteen moved out to live in digs, tired of being treated like a child. Their relationship hit its lowest ebb in 1995 when Samir Rachid died while on his way to donate a kidney to Tracy, who was ill after taking a bad ecstasy pill. Tracy's life stabilised when she married Robert Preston and moved to London in 1996, but six years later she returned to Weatherfield and moved back in with Ken and Deirdre. In the years between, Tracy had turned into a woman who treated life like a game, using and hurting others to satisfy her whims. In 2003, to win a bet, she nearly drove Roy Cropper to suicide by claiming that they had slept together and fleeced Roy and Hayley by selling them her daughter, even though Steve McDonald was Amy's father. When Amy's true parentage was revealed, Tracy used her daughter to split up Steve and his wife Karen, but Steve used Tracy for access to Amy. In 2006, Tracy found out that her boyfriend Charlie Stubbs had cheated on her, and took revenge by murdering him. She hoped to get away with it by claiming it was self-defence but her scheme backfired and she was sentenced to life in prison. Three years later, Tracy was released on bail pending a retrial when the forensics expert from her trial was discredited but few people were happy to see her and a fracas with Claire Peacock on 1st January 2011 put her in hospital for several weeks. During 2011 she attempted to win Steve back in order to make a family with him and Amy and began trying to make him split from his wife Becky. She succeeded and lied about Becky pushing her down a flight of stairs causing her to miscarry. Steve and Tracy got married, only for the truth to be revealed and they separated as Becky left. They divorced the following year. After a brief stint of employment at Prima Doner, Tracy started work in the packing department at Underworld after quickly becoming involved with co-owner Rob Donovan. The pair were dismissed in June 2013 when it was discovered that they had been \"stealing\" material from the business. Temporarily working as a telemarketer for Bugden's Bathrooms, Tracy managed the cash converters shop Barlow's Buys. In January 2016, she reopened the premises as Preston's Petals."@en . . . . . . . . . . "Master of Deception and Schemes"@en . . . . . . . . . . . . "1"^^ . . "Tracy Luv"@en . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Tracy Barlow is a fictional character and recurring anti-villain in Coronation Street. She has been played by many actresses over the years, but is well known for being played by Kate Ford, who has played Tracy when she became a villain. Tracy Barlow could be considered a major antagonist in the show during the 2000s and 2010s, as her scheming and storylines have involved a lot of characters and she sets out to hurt others. Throughout 2010-2015, she served as a central character and major antagonist for the first three years. In 2014, she is one of the main protagonists while her boyfriend, Rob Donovan, served as the main antagonist. This is for a fact that the series key character, Tina Mcintyre, was murdered and that Tracy was one of the four suspects that was to kill her. However, she wasn't the killer, although she seemed rather pleased that Tina won't mess with her again, now that she is dead. But her mood later changes when her brother, Peter, is arrested for suspicion of murder, even when she believes that Rob's brother, Carla, had killed her. Between the end of October and the beginning of November however, her wedding ends in a disaster when she learns that Rob is the killer, which led Tracy to betray Rob by having the police come to his location to arrest him. By this time, she becomes Carla's arch rival and in 2015, despite saving her from an bus accident in January, begins to believe that she will destroy her as she did to Peter and Rob. At this time, Tracy becomes an anti hero and supporting protagonist/quaternary antagonist of the 2015 series when she plans to murder Carla in her sofa, but a noise in her flat forces her to flee and leave the candle right where the lamp is, this causes a fire in Carla's flat with herself and even Tracy's daughter, Amy, inside the burning flat. Amy and Carla are eventually rescued by Kal and Leanne, who are caught in the crossfire as well, just as the flat explodes before the fire department managed to clear the fire away. However, Tracy's cautions of starting to fire has killed Kal just seconds after Leanne had escape while Maddie, another of Tracy's enemies, gets caught in a second explosion and dies of her injuries. Unknown is more to come yet, but it is possible that Tracy will convince everyone that Carla is responsible for arson and the deaths of Kal and Maddie."@en . . . . . . . .
