"The Reylan Imperial Triumvirate (The RIT or the Imperium)was founded as the Reylan Empire on the 5th July 2005 by the current Emperor, Taeglan I Nihilus. Appointing ministers to deal with the day-to-day running of the Empire, things progressed rapidly. The Empire originally started as a Constitutional Monarchy, with the Emperor himself holding little power. Claiming several territories, the Emperor began a rigorous recruitment campaign for citizens. The Imperium ran in this form for one year. After considering his options, the Emperor announced that the Imperium would be reborn as a Republic, holding a swift election, in which he was unanimously elected to the newly created position of Chancellor, the re-organisation began in earnest. Unfortunately, after several months as Chancellor, the Imperial Senate decided that it would be in the best interests of citizens to implement a new political system. As a result, the Chancellor re-took the Title of Emperor of the Reylan Imperial Triumvirate, implementing three new governmental systems the Council of Three (Comprised of the Three Triumvirs)and the Imperial Parliament.
