Gubson played two seasons in the minors. In the 1975\u201376 season, he played with the Bruins, but he returned to the minors in the following season. After Boston waived Gibson in 1977, he played briefly for the Washington Capitals. He then returned to the American Hockey League. In 1979-80 he was a mid-season replacement as a player-coach for the Hershey Bears. He won the Calder Cup and the Louis A.R. Pieri Memorial Award as coach of the year. Gibson spent the next three seasons with SC Riessersee in Germany and retired in 1983. He played in a total of 63 NHL games, scoring 9 goals and 19 assists."@en .
