"A Smurf in the village is having trouble trying to get some sleep in his house due to the noise of his fellow Smurfs, both during the night and in the daytime. Finally fed up with not getting enough sleep, that Smurf goes out into the forest and finds an abandoned tree stump that is perfect for his new home, so he packs up his belongings and moves into the tree stump remodeled into his new house. Though he manages to get the sleep he was lacking in the first two days of living there, new problems arise from his living in solitude, such as a squirrel taking all the hazelnuts he had stored up and a mosquito that bothers him in the night. On the third night, that Smurf gets irritated by the noises of creatures in the forest. On the following day, a storm breaks out over the forest, and that Smurf tries to keep warm by building a fire in his hearth, but a bird has built a nest right over the chimney's opening, causing him to flee his new home as he is being smoked out. He returns to the village only to find that a tree has fallen on his old home. Fortunately, Papa Smurf helps him find a new place to settle in the village, though it is now near other Smurfs who are generally noisy during the night. By the end of the story, he resolves the noise problem simply by wearing earplugs when he sleeps."@en . "The Smurf And His Neighbors"@en .
