He also served as Minister of Food and Agriculture for nearly 15 years under three different Heads of Government. Between 3616 and 3622, he was also Vize-Staatsminister of Hulstria & Gao-Soto. By profession, Zinnberger worked as a farmer and agricultural engineer. His political mentor was LVP veteran Hans Holzinger. He became the first leader of the Landbund following its formation in 3600, and led the rural and conservative opposition against the Communist government that was in charge in Hulstria & Gao-Soto from 3603 to 3606. After its collapse, he ran for LVP Chairman, but lost big to Emilia Lahnsteiger. He was subsequently appointed deputy Chairman by Lahnsteiger, as well as deputy parliamentary leader in the Diet. Following the coalition agreement between LVP and HDV in 3607, Zinnberger was promoted to Minister of Food and Agriculture in the government of Emilia Lahnsteiger. In 3621, he was the LVP's lead candidate in a general election the party feared to lose badly, however, after a spirited campaign denouncing the forest nationalization plans of the left-wing as \"land grabbing\" and claiming to fight for rural interests, Zinnberger managed to achieve an acceptable result and restrict losses to less than two percent. Nevertheless, he was excluded from the ensuing cabinet negotiations with the HDV by LVP Chairwoman Ariane von Gehrfeld. After he felt that the outcome of the coalition negotiations neglected ordinary people and farmers, he resigned as LB leader and LVP deputy Chairman, later he also renounced his seat in the Diet. In 3625, he announced his defection to the right-wing populist Nationales B\u00FCrgerforum, whose leader he became shortly thereafter."@en . "3568-04-08"^^ . "August 3623"@en . . .
