Troj\u00E1k wore the number 9. He died on November 8, 1948 during an aircraft accident over the English Channel, along with 5 other members of the Czechoslovak national team. He was a player in the ice hockey teams of \u010Cs\u0160K Ko\u0161ice (until 1934) and LTC Praha (1934\u20131948). He scored 37-times in 75 games for the national team of Czechoslovakia. Ladislav Troj\u00E1k is a member of the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame since November 30, 2002, the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame since 2008 and the IIHF Hall of Fame since 2011. The new home arena of the ice hockey team of HC Ko\u0161ice - The Steel Arena - Ko\u0161ice's Ladislav Troj\u00E1k Stadium (open on February 24, 2006) is named in honour of Ladislav Troj\u00E1k.
