"Superman, J'onn J'onzz, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Dr.\nFate, Captain Atom, Firestorm, and Green Lanterns Hal\nJordan, Arisia, and Katma Tui Stewart have journeyed to\nthe Procyon system to invade the Manhunters' home\nplanet of Orinda. As they plot their strategy, Firestorm\nsuddenly senses a call for help and flies off, with Captain\nAtom in pursuit .\nWhen the remaining heroes and heroines reach Orinda,\nthey find the planet's surface utterly barren, but discover a\nsystem of underground corridors which constitute the\nManhunters' base. The Green Lanterns are especially\nwary, as everything on the planet is colored yellow, and\nthus their power rings are useless. Instead of an enemy\nattack, however, the heroes encounter Gnort, the hope-\nlessly inept Green Lantern of Orinda's space sector. As Hal\nJordan explains to the others, Gnort's uncle was a former\nGL who used his influence with the Guardians to have his\nnephew made a Corps member. The Guardians had\nassigned the bumbling Gnort to this sector because it was\nsupposedly devoid of life, unaware of the presence of the\nManhunters' hidden world. Having stumbled across Orinda\nby accident, Gnort has now been lost in its maze of tunnels\nfor several months. Dr. Fate then senses the presence of their foes, so the\nsuper-heroes race to do battle, leaving the ineffectual Gnort\nbehind on \"guard duty\". Hundreds of Manhunters are\nwaiting to ambush the heroes, but thanks to a ruse\nengineered by J'onn J'onzz and Arisia, the Earth crusaders\nare able to take the androids by surprise. In less than a\nminute, their robotic enemies are smashed, and the team\nof past and present Justice League members and Green\nLanterns stands victorious. The eight champions then enter what proves to be a\nManhunter birthing chamber, where hundreds more of the\nrobots lie in individual cubicles awaiting activation. Before\nthis can be accomplished, Superman incinerates the inert\nandroids with his heat vision. Far above them, the\nHighmaster, the supreme overlord of the Manhunters,\ncomes to life and voices his displeasure at their actions.\nRather than battle the heroes, however, the Highmaster\nsimply departs to rebuild his planetary base elsewhere.\nSince it is his power which holds Orinda together, with his\ndeparture the planet begins to break apart.\nSuperman gets his companions out of harm's way in\ntime, and they are soon rejoined by Captain Atom and\nFirestorm, who have in turn been joined by Harbinger and\nDriq."@en . "While the other super-heroes are away in space, back at\nthe Green Lantern Citadel on Earth, Blue Beetle and Mr.\nMiracle stand guard over the Manhunter ship captured by\nAquaman and Aqualad. Abruptly, a hatch opens and a volleyball-sized object flies\nout. Before the two costumed crusaders can stop it, the\ndevice has flown to where Herupa Hando Hu and Nadia\nSafir are conferring with Janwillem Kroef nearby. It knocks\nKroef down, encases his head, and begins emitting smoke.\nAs Mr. Miracle ponders the proper method of removing the\ndevice before it can harm Kroef, Kilowog wanders over and\ncalmly presses a switch on the object, which he identifies as\n\"a simple Gillian mind-probe\", causing it to dissolve\nharmlessly."@en .
