Their parents never really cared for the two girls in the way that parents should, so Alanah found herself taking care of Leigh most of the time. Alanah never minded and enjoyed the bond that grew between the two sisters. They grew up in a lovely home from the outsiders view; their parents were avid collectors of paintings and many other collectibles. Alanah and Leigh shared a bedroom that was rather small; they were often felt to be in the way. If it didn\u2019t involve money or society it did not involve them. Her parents never held magic in high regard and still don\u2019t to this day. She had to promise to come back to Ireland after graduation and work in a dress store, letting them have the money, to get them to consider letting Leigh go to Hogwarts. She gave up her future at the time so that her sister could be afforded one, she would do anything for her. When an Aunt passed away and left money to Alanah and Leigh that their parents could not touch, Alanah left Ireland and has not been back since. Her sister graduated the year she left; Alanah set her up in an apartment across the hall from her, so she would not get in the same situation that Alanah had been in. She has started her own clothing line named Deveroux Designs. She is currently working on her follow up to the line launch, but the feedback has been good. Alanah recently adopted Edmund Wallace, whom means the world to her, and loves very much. As such, his happiness is the utmost importance to her, and she would do anything to make sure he was happy."@en . . . . . . . . "Alanah Cross"@en . . .
