He played major junior for the Quebec Remparts, Montreal Rocket, and P.E.I. Rocket from 2000 to 2004. The Montreal Canadiens chose him 40th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Urquhart turned pro with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League in 2004-05. He spent five seasons bouncing between the Bulldogs and the ECHL. In August 2008 Urquhart was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes but spent the 2008-09 season in the minors. The New York Rangers invited him to their 2009 training camp but he failed to make the team. Instead of reporting to the Hartford Wolf Pack (the Rangers' farm team) Urquhart left for Germany to play for the Heilbronner Falken. In 2010-11 Urquhart is playing for the Cologne Sharks."@en . .
