He played with that team until 1972 and the formation of the World Hockey Association (WHA). He signed with the WHA's Philadelphia Blazers in 1972 and moved with them to Vancouver in 1973. After two seasons there he joined the San Diego Mariners from 1975 to 1977 and finished off his WHA career with the Indianapolis Racers in 1977-78 and 1978-79.
