"Brodt competed for Roseville High School and she was team captain in the 2001-02 season. She finished her high school career with 207 points, including 51 points as a senior. She was also a finalist for the Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award. Roseville competed at the 1997, 1998 and 1999 Minnesota State High School girls hockey tournaments and Brodt was part of all the teams. In 1999, she was part of the championship team. From 1999 to 2001, Brodt was named to the all-metro team. In her senior year at Roseville, she was captain of the golf and soccer teams her senior year, and was voted the most valuable player in both golf and hockey.
