The Bouncer was originally a statue of the Greek mythology figure Antaeus created by a sculptor named Adam Anteas Jr. The artist was a descendant of Antaeus. The statue however was not normal. In fact whenever danger was near, it came to life. The living statue gave Adam superpowers of super strength and leaping, which it also possessed. Class Skills The Bouncer's Class Skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Escape Artist (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (history) (Int), Knowledge (Nobility and royalty) (Int), Perception (Wis), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Stealth (Dex), and Swim (Str), as well as any 2 martial knowledge skills. Skill Ranks at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier. All of the following are class features of the Bouncer prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Bouncer gains no new proficiencies. Techniques Readied: At levels 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, A Bouncer gains the ability to ready martial techniques as if they had leveled up in it's previous class. If it had more than one previous class you must choose which class at Each level. You do not learn new techniques from this and must still train to learn them just as before. At 1st level you gain the ability to purchase Bouncer Evilities at normal price, as they are now on your class list. Menacing Glare (Ex): At 1st level, A Bouncer is trained to look tough and scare off ruffians. When they use intimidate to demoralize an opponent, they add twice their charisma modifier to the check. Damage Pool (su): At 1st level, The bouncer learns to become hearty and to temporarily shrug off damage so as to last longer in a fight. A Damage pool works similarly to damage reduction. Whenever you take damage from any source, reduce the damage by the number listed in your damage pool. With the damage pool, you can utilize negated damage for great effect. Whenever you take damage, you store a number of it equal to your damage pool. At any time afterward, you can choose to either deal that damage back as part of your attack damage, or you can heal yourself or an ally for the same amount. The ally must be within reach. Using this is a swift action, unless attacking in which it is a standard action. The damage only lasts until the end of the round, until you reach 10th level, in which it lasts for 2 rounds. At 2nd level, and every other level afterward, the Bouncer gains a new defensive maneuver that allows them to better protect themselves and their comrades. * Evasion: The Bouncer gains the evasion ability. * Mettle: The Bouncer gains the Mettle ability. If a Bouncer is subject to an effect that deals 1/2 damage on a successful fortitude saving throw, a successful saving throw negates the damage instead. * Evasive Mind: The Bouncer gains the Evasive Mind ability. If a Bouncer is subject to an effect that deals 1/2 damage on a successful will saving throw, a successful saving throw negates the damage instead. * Improved Damage Pool: The bouncer's damage pool increases by +2. * Shield Ally: Whenever an ally is the target of an attack, if you are within reach of the ally, you can make a reflex saving throw against the attack roll. If you succeed, you take the damage instead. * Fast Healing: The Bouncer gains fast healing 2. * Resistance: a number of times per day equal to 3+ your wisdom modifier, you can activate a resistance spell on yourself as an immediate action. Every time you take this the resistance bonus increases by +1 * Vitality: On the level you take this defensive maneuver you gain your constitution modifier to hit points again. * Improved Evasion: You can only take this if you have Evasion. You gain the Improved Evasion ability. * Improved Mettle: You can only take this if you have taken mettle. You take 1/2 damage on a failed saving throw of an ability that is effected by mettle. * Improved Evasive Mind: You can only take this if you have taken Evasive Mind. You take 1/2 damage on a failed saving throw of an ability that is effected by Evasive mind. * Improved Shield Ally: You can only take this if you have taken shield ally. This works as shield ally, but if successful you take 1/2 damage. * Improved Resistance: You can only take this if you've taken Resistance. As resistance but it is applied to all allies within 30 feet. * Energy Resistance: You gain energy resistance 5 to one energy type. This can be taken multiple times but only once for each element, until you reach 5th level, after which you can take it a second time for a single element. Interception (Su): The Bouncer can move at sonic speeds to protect his friends. A number of times per day equal to 3+ wisdom modifier, the bouncer can move anywhere within his base land speed to intercept an attack intended for someone else. The bouncer always takes the damage from this interception that cannot be negated. Final Stand (Su): The bouncer learns to fight to protect his master, even after he has been embraced by the icy hand of death. Once per day, if a Bouncer is killed by any means, they can make a final stand until the end of his next round. The bouncer gains a +8 bonus to strength and dexterity and his damage pool doubles. His land speed increases by 30 feet. Finally the bouncer is immune to all status ailments when this round ends, the bouncer falls dead unless he has received proper healing. Bouncers are tough-looking exiled programs. Bouncers were round, floating creatures native to Ruusan. They were nearly spherical, somewhat hairy, with irregular surfaces and throbbing veins... they looked like balls, people. Do I have to spell it out for you? Not baseballs, not basketballs, not footballs, but giant floating testicles. Whenever two of them floated side by side, galactic censors actually blurred the image. That's how much they looked like balls. Their homeworld was the site of a great battle between the Jedi and the Brotherhood of Darkness, a weenie Sith faction. The Sith tormented the Bouncers whenever they could... because the Sith enjoyed kicking balls. (On a side note, Bouncers could actually be used in sports. As their name implies, they were very bouncy and made excellent basketballs, in theory. Unfortunately, in practice, most basketball players refused to touch the Bouncers with their bare hands.) Bouncers were sort of telepathic and spoke in a weird cursive singsong, like an E.E. Cummings poem. In the latter stages of the Jedi-Sith War, the Sith began burning the Bouncers' forests in order to deprive the Jedi of ground cover. This also ended up killing many Bouncers... oh, the stench of charred balls hung over the battlefield for weeks. The surviving balls, er, Bouncers went berserk and began attacking everything, because they were telepathically unhinged by all the deaths, so that even the Jedi were forced to put the damn things out of their misery. A young Darth Zannah, then known as "Rain," had befriended the Bouncers because she loved balls so much. One of the balls had saved her life, and they were traveling together. When a Jedi mistakenly shot her Bouncer friend, she became incensed, shouting, "You shot my balls!" and using her innate Force powers to snap his puny little neck. A few Bouncers survived the war on Ruusan, in scattered tribes. They had a prophecy of a great Jedi Knight returning to free the trapped souls in the Valley of the Jedi. The figure in their prophecy turned out to be... Kyle Katarn! Holy crap. Kyle Katarn made the Bouncers stay at least three feet away from him at all times. The Bouncers only drank coffee. But, since they had no arms to make coffee with, their species was ultimately doomed from the start. Anyway, to sum up, balls. Balls, balls, balls. Most players should have no trouble with Bouncer, as he only attacks with weak melee, and is in fact weaker than a regular hellhound. It's possible to safespot Bouncer by using Ranged or Magic from behind the skeletons that lay around in the Fight Arena. It is also possible to use a halberd to attack him from one of these safespots. After Bouncer is killed, General Khazard will become enraged about his death, and attack you himself, although it is not required to face him. Bouncer can be fought as a class E boss monster in the Dominion Tower minigame after Fight Arena has been completed, with the exact same stats as he had during the quest. Each pad launches a player to a specific location, sometimes even onto other Bounce Pads, with little to no control over the jump. Sometimes, multiples bouncers need to be made to reach certain areas. Bouncers look different depending on where they are located, with each design mirroring the world's design. Bouncer is a sentient species of the Star Wars Universe, native of Ruusan. They move propelled by the winds, bouncing on obstacles. The Bouncer was originally a statue of the Greek mythology figure Antaeus created by a sculptor named Adam Anteas Jr. The artist was a descendant of Antaeus. The statue however was not normal. In fact whenever danger was near, it came to life. The living statue gave Adam superpowers of super strength and leaping, which it also possessed. Like the mythical Antaeus, Adam and the statue are both vulnerable in mid-bounce. A bouncer is type of Fairy weapon created for tunnel wars. It's a wide-bore low-frequency laser blaster. When activated, it shoots a slow deadly beam that bounces from surfaces until hits living creatures, killing them. It's affects can be overridden if the beam is contained moments after it leaves the gun barrel, such as Domovoi Butler demonstrated with Foaly's prototype Safetynet in the second Artemis Fowl novel. Many believed that this prophecy referred to the souls of both the Jedi and the Sith that were killed by the thought bomb unleashed by the Brotherhood of Darkness, in the area that became known as the Valley of the Jedi. This prophecy was proven to be true when Kyle Katarn defeated Jerec and his Dark Jedi in the Valley, setting free the collected spirits. Bouncer is a hellhound that is fought during the Fight Arena quest. He is General Khazard's pet and only friend. From TV and movies, one gets the impression that a bouncer is a large person, whose main job is to turn away the business of people who are insufficiently cool, or to provide an escort out for those customers who have lost their cool after admittance. They also oversee the Wannabe Line. In truth, most real-life club bouncers have far more prosaic duties; their job consists primarily of checking ID, tossing out rowdy customers and often includes acting as the bar's janitor.
