The Test Realm is a side client that exists for the purpose of gathering bugs and feedback. It is used as a tool for the benefit of the development team. The Test Realm is the first place new champions, items, maps, and other changes to the game before launch. The Test Realm is a private client used for the benefit of the Riot Games Inc. development team. There are very few players from the League of Legends community that have access to the test realm. Occasionally Riot will host giveaways or send out invitations to members of the community, although this is a rare occurrence. In addition to the colored realms, players may also play in the test (also known as special) realm. Given one account, a player may have both a colored realm player and a test realm player. The Wizard101 Test Realm is set up by KingsIsle to test new material for the game. It is only available sometimes, and when it is available it is only for subscription players or for those who bought more than $10 in Crowns in the last 30 days. Information on gaining access is at . Each time you access the Test Realm, you get to use a backed-up version of your live realm character that has 250,000 Crowns. Each time it closes and re-opens anything you obtained in the test realm is lost. Note: NOTHING from the test realm carries over into the live realm. A test realm or test server is a realm made for trying out features in development for the next patch. Blizzard usually calls it a "Public Test Realm" or "PTR" for players of World of Warcraft to test features. Blizzard has also recently done a "Tournament Test Realm" or "TTR" to get ready for the Arena Competition. You can make a character on the test realm from a copy of one of your characters on a normal realm or from a premade. Whether there will be premades or not will be clearly announced. Players on test realms should not be surprised by character wipes, item wipes, or frequent downtime to make changes or apply patches, so don't get too attached to your character on these servers. For a guide to getting on the test realm, see Getting on the Test Realm.[citation needed] File:Logo wow ptr.png The Wizard101 Test Realm is set up by KingsIsle to test new material for the game.
