"In the mirror universe, Benjamin Sisko (2332-2371) was the Terran pirate captain of the raider Denorios and a consort of Intendant Kira Nerys, who operated out of Terok Nor. He worked with the rest of his crew to collect tribute for the Intendant and recruited Jadzia Dax into his crew after her shuttlecraft, the Rogue Star, was impounded at the station. (ST novel: Dark Passions) In 2370, he encountered the Kira Nerys and Julian Bashir from the primary universe and he later helped them to escape from Terok Nor, taking Miles O'Brien (or as he preferred: \"Smiley\") with him. Sisko told Kira and Bashir that he would \"stir things up\" in his universe. (DS9 episode: \"Crossover\") Sisko had made several contacts during his service to the Intendant, some of which he was still able to take advantage of-after rebelling against the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. One of those contacts sold Sisko a small flitter. He gave it to Chakotay, who named the ship Geronimo. (VOY - Mirror Universe novel: The Mirror-Scaled Serpent) Sisko kept his word and the Terran Rebellion took shape. However, he was killed in 2371, when the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance destroyed the small fighter he was piloting in his mission to recruit his estranged wife, Professor Jennifer Sisko, into the Rebellion. He was succeeded as leader of the Terran Rebellion by O'Brien, who admitted the Rebellion was better off without him due to his brash tactics and constant internal fighting which he provoked. (DS9 episode: \"Through the Looking Glass\") During Benjamin Sisko's Orb experience in January 2377, it was revealed (by seven other Benjamin Sisko from different parallel universes) that this Ben Sisko had actually faked his own death to avoid the stresses of leading the Terran Rebellion. The Sisko of the primary universe then requested that Elias Vaughn seek him out to prevent Iliana Ghemor from becoming the mirror universe's Emissary of the Prophets. The Prophets subsequently bestowed the position on Ghemor's mirror universe counterpart. (DS9 novel: Fearful Symmetry) As it turned out, the Sisko of the primary universe was manipulating Vaughn, and openly lied about the fact his counterpart was still alive. Opaka showed him Sisko's grave. The exact reason why Sisko lied is unknown though it is believed it was because he intended Vaughn to become the mirror universe's Emissary. (DS9 novel: The Soul Key) After the victory of the Terran Rebellion in 2378, O'Brien mourned Sisko's death. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: Rise Like Lions)"@en . . . .
