Proteus Proteus Proteus Proteus Proteus
rdfs:comment
Proteus is an Artificial Intelligence built by Achilles. It is originally tasked with protection of the Fleet of Worlds. Proteus later abandoned the Fleet. It is suggested that Proteus survived the events around the disappearance of the fleet and took up residence of a nearby star system. In Greek mythology, Proteus is a shapeshifting god of the sea who resided on the island of Pharos near Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea. He had the power to see the future, but would not reveal any details to humans unless they can capture him. To avoid capture, he would change his shape (he cannot lie). He was usually depicted as an old man. His lineage has varied through Greek history, sometimes being the son of Poseidon, sometimes Nereus, sometimes Oceanus. Proteus is also the origin of the adjective protean (meaning mutable, shifting, adaptable, flexible, able to change form). Proteus is a sadistic, shapeshifting New Olympian criminal and murderer. Despite being more than 400 km in diameter Proteus has a somewhat irregular shape with several slightly concave facets and relief as high as 20 km. Its surface is dark, neutral in color and heavily cratered. The largest crater is more than 200 km in diameter. There are also a number of scarps, grooves and valleys related to large craters. Proteus has not shape itself yet. So we are going to shape Proteus into a sphere shape like mimas.Proteus would be very difficult to terraform. We would have to put an heating source on one side of Proteus. We can tell that Proteus should be a cold moon or a warmer moon by puting 2 heating probes and circular mirror pattern on the northern hemisphere of Proteus will now shape itself in to an sphere shape. The bottom part of Proteus will now be terraformed Proteus was a submarine part of the Leasath Naval Forces. Satellites Location: Milky Way / Artemis Tau / Athens System / Second planet <default>Colony</default> Human Kevin MacTaggert is the son of Dr. Moira MacTaggert and her husband, Joseph MacTaggert, who forced Moira into an unhappy marriage. Kevin was conceived after his mother, Moira, was severely beaten and raped by Joseph. After this traumatic experience, Moira left Joseph. She did not notify him that she was pregnant with his child. Moira and Kevin lived at her Mutant Research Centre on Muir Island, off the coast of Scotland. Kevin eventually began manifesting his mutant abilities and became a danger to everyone around him. His abilities gave him an uncontrollable hunger for energy. To protect herself and others, Moira was forced to confine Kevin. To keep the truth about her son secret, she began to describe him to others only as Mutant X. For years, Kevin remained inside his cell, sustained by Proteus was a primal god that captured the Ghostbusters. Proteus is a legendary narrow gauge tank engine with a magic lamp hung upon his funnel. Supposedly comparable to other MMOs, the game's presumed playable species included Humans, Quarren and Kel Dor, based on concept artwork. Locations that were to be included were Bespin, Corellia and Sullust. Best of Enemies is the fifth episode of Series 2 of Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet. The Proteus was an advanced ship built by the United Global Space Force to search for the Jupiter 2 when nothing was heard from them for many years. It was commanded by Jeb Walker. The Proteus was infested by Space Spiders and all hands were killed. When the Jupiter 2 discovered the vessel, Major Don West destroyed it because the spider infestation posed an ongoing threat to anyone else who might encounter the ship. Blarp was discovered aboard the Proteus. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Faction: Unaffiliated Species: Transformer Function: INFILTRATOR Rank: N/A Motto: "One quick strike is all one need -- let them guess at one's true intentions." Proteus was an Olympian god who had the ability to "shape shift" into the form of any other living being he wanted. His natural form is that of a small, grey and wrinkled creature. As a child, the other gods made fun of him mercilessly. Even Hercules admitted that he used to make fun of Proteus until his mother, Alcmene, taught him to be respectful of those who were different. After that, Proteus and Hercules became friends. Proteus is the court sorcerer of Poseidon. Kevin MacTaggert, also known as Proteus, is a powerful mutant and the son of Joseph and Moira MacTaggert. Proteus is a supporting character in Sinbad. He is a prince and sacrificed himself for the execution in order to let Sinbad go find The Book, showing that he had complete trust in him. He and Sinbad were at first friends until Sinbad found out that Proteus was to marry Marina before the movie. Sinbad, in love with Marina, or at the very least her beauty, then ran away and the two haven't seen each other since, until the beginning of the movie. The absence caused a sort of rivalry, making Sinbad a bit bitter and intentionally unwilling to go back to Proteus's country. Proteus was unaware of the reasons of Sinbad's absence and eventually his prince duties also set the two friends apart even before Sinbad left. The series began with the Proteus/1 synth of 1989. It was loaded with samples in ROM, drawn from E-mu's library of sounds that it had built to sell to Emulator owners. The sounds were basic rock and pop sounds -- guitars, basses, (non-synth) keyboards, drums. This was followed shortly by the Proteus/2, loaded with orchestral instrument sounds, the Proteus/3, with ethnic instrument sounds, and the Procussion, with drum sounds. All four of these models shared the same hardware; they were identical except for the sample ROM and panel graphics. Some basic changes to the hardware design resulted in the "XL" models which contained two or more of the ROM sets, and expanded patch memory. The sound shaping capabilities of these modules was limited, as they lacked any sort of filters. Proteus was the name of a steam engine in an old story from the hills. Proteus had a lamp that shone very brightly and was said to be magical. There are three signs that Proteus' lamp is near: a gust of wind, a creaking sound, and a light flashing on and off. Skarloey once spoke of this legend to the other narrow gauge engines. Peter Sam scoffed at the story at first. Later that evening, when Peter Sam got lost on an evening voyage, he was almost led to believe that the lamp was about. In the end, Peter Sam decided that sometimes it can be good to believe in something. ("The Magic Lamp") Proteus was a gaming magazine published in the late 1980s (1984 to 1988) with the aim of being "A Complete Fantasy Adventure Game Magazine". It was not a Fighting Fantasy-oriented magazine like Warlock, and the adventures published in it were independent of Titan. However, it does have a link to Fighting Fantasy canon in that the third and installment of Ruth Pracy's The Flat Lands series was published in Proteus, the first two instalments having been published in Warlock. Warlock itself had ceased publication before the third instalment could be published. Proteus is an instant messenger client for Mac OS X that can access the Jabber, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! Messenger networks, as well as supporting chat over local Rendezvous networks. The most current version of Proteus is 4.2.2, as of July 2011. Proteus is a free application. It was originally developed by Justin Wood, then later sold to Defaultware. Proteus was a very old engine from the hills of Sodor with a magical lamp. Legend has it that his lamp was magic and if any engine ever found it, their wishes would come true. The clues to finding the magic lamp are feeling a rush of wind when the lamp is near, hearing a strange creaking sound, and see a flickering light that shines on and off. In the ninth season, Skarloey told Proteus' story to the narrow gauge engines. Peter Sam scoffed at the tale, but later realised that maybe just believing in the lamp will grant your wishes. The trojan arrives as a Google Chrome executable when run, it drops a copy of itself in the %AppData% folder and executes the copy, the trojan contacts a command-and-control server and send information of the infected machine (username, current version of the OS) the trojan verifies with the server during runtime to determine which miner to use for mining digital currency such as Bitcoin and also installs a keylogger. Proteus is an artificial intelligence in the 3rd RPG and the 4th RPG. His 3rd RPG story begins floating through space inside a covenant computer terminal after having been stolen by one of his creators. He has little memory, and finds a message left for him by himself, saying that he had to wipe his own memory in accordance with the Cole Protocol. He is eventually found by covenant forces, and then manages to escape his tiny network, and make his way to a UNSC ship called the Brahe. Once on board, he slipspace jumps to Sigma Octanus IV to get repairs. Proteus hears radio chatter about a missing marathon-class cruiser, the Prometheus, and sets out to find it - without anyone's permission to leave the docking bay. Proteus (Kevin MacTaggert) is invisible to telepathic scans and most detection devices and can shift between realities. He is the son of Moira MacTaggert. A member of The Sentinels and Ameriforce One. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it. Proteus is a mutant with the power of reality warping and manipulation to a nearly infinite degree. He is limited only by his imagination and able to warp it on a whim. Most of the time Proteus will turn solid matter into a semi-liquid appearance to bend, stretch, and distort the bodies and pain centers of his enemies. If he is feeling particularly cruel, he will read his foes' minds and put them in a nightmare-induced state where their greatest fears emerge physically to haunt them. The Lingons left the planet alone when the humans on it started becoming sentient, however. Proteus is going to be given a new name and new races in the Deliverance remake. Freedom is liquid, supple, mellifluous. It surrounds us, engulfs our bodies, drowns our fear. We plumb freedom’s depths and consume the nourishment within. From these waters, we are born; when we die, we shall return to those waters. Out there, among the stars, are the waters, freedom incarnate. That dark, endless void is our destiny, our path, our goal. We must not fear it, nor should we control it. Rather, we should embrace it, trust it, love it. Its ever-changing face, its protean existence, is our very essence. We are those stars, the void, the awesome waters of space: ancient, forever, free. - Jinsente Parmen, The Gallente in New Eden

El Hermano Proteus de los Ultramarines era un Explorador Marine Espacial que fue ascendido por completo a Hermano de Batalla y asignado a la recién reformada Escuadra Ultima de la Segunda Compañía, por el Capitán Severus. Poseidon (father) & Unknown Mother Proteus was a gaming magazine published in the late 1980s (1984 to 1988) with the aim of being "A Complete Fantasy Adventure Game Magazine". Proteus is also the name of a moon of Neptune discovered by Voyager 2 on July 7th, 1989. This moon is irregularly shaped, appearing as a lumpy, uneven object that is almost, but not quite, a sphere. It is considered the largest a body could get without forming a spherical or spheroidal shape. It is 440km in diameter. While smaller bodies were discovered before it via telescope (i.e. Nereid), because Proteus orbits very close to Neptune, it was lost in the planet's glare. Proteus is a very dark body, having a color comparable to soot. Note: One of the original Cybertronians from during the First Cybertronian War, PROTEUS had been placed in stasis before the Quintesson departure from Cybertron. Once the Quintessons discovered the Cybertronians had invented the art of transformation, he was experimented upon in an attempt to see how far the Quintessons could advance the technology and make it superior. Incorporating similar sensor technology that Teletran-One would later use to reformat the Autobots and Decepticons upon their awakening in 1984, Proteus earned his designation by demonstrating to his Quintesson masters that he could reformat his vehicular altmode at will. An adept infiltrator and reconnaissance expert, Proteus is intelligent and cunning. He is armed with a retractable energo-sword, a shoulder-mounted triple-rocket launcher, and a triple-barrel electro-pulse repeating blaster rifle. Mental impairment from the experimentation have left Proteus suffering a loss of self-identity. "Proteus" is the 17th episode of Season 2, and the 40th produced hour of Person of Interest. It originally aired on March 7, 2013. Supposedly comparable to other MMOs, the game's presumed playable species included Humans, Quarren and Kel Dor, based on concept artwork. Locations that were to be included were Bespin, Corellia and Sullust. Proteus is a sadistic, shapeshifting New Olympian criminal and murderer. Proteus was a primal god that captured the Ghostbusters. Proteus is an Artificial Intelligence built by Achilles. It is originally tasked with protection of the Fleet of Worlds. Proteus later abandoned the Fleet. It is suggested that Proteus survived the events around the disappearance of the fleet and took up residence of a nearby star system. gatunek człowiek/1energia/2. wiek 17 lat. rodzina mojra(matka) joe(ojciec). moce:telekineza'zakrzywianie przestrzeni mislą'zmiana materi swiata. odcinek proteus część 1. The Lingons left the planet alone when the humans on it started becoming sentient, however. Proteus is going to be given a new name and new races in the Deliverance remake. Proteus was a submarine part of the Leasath Naval Forces. Proteus is the court sorcerer of Poseidon. Proteus is a legendary narrow gauge tank engine with a magic lamp hung upon his funnel. ("The Magic Lamp") Kevin MacTaggert, also known as Proteus, is a powerful mutant and the son of Joseph and Moira MacTaggert. The hardware developed for the Morpheus in 1993 was used to develop a second series of sample playback synths. These units can be distinguished by a power switch at the far right with a large data entry knob just to its left. This line included the Orbit 9090 (electronica-centric samples), the Planet Phatt (hip-hop / acid jazz), the Carnaval (Latin sounds), and the Vintage Keys (samples of vintage electronic instruments). These corrected one of the main drawbacks of the first series, in that a VCF-like capability was available, providing more possibilities for altering the sound of the built-in samples. The third series began with the introduction of the Proteus 2000 in 1999. This series is distinguished externally by the five parameter entry / select knobs to the left of the display screen, easing somewhat the task of patch editing (the previous series all used a one-knob interface and had the reputation of being difficult to edit). About 10 modules were released in this series, including the Audity 2000 (named after a legendary E-mu prototype that never went into production), Orbit 3, Planet Earth, Mo' Phatt, Xtreme Lead, and Vintage Pro. The Proteus 2500 was a 4U high rack version with a greatly expanded user interface for easier editing and real-time control. Four models were also produced in keyboard versions, all using the same hardware: the XL-6 Xtreme Keys, the MK-6 Mo' Phatt Keys, the PK-6 Proteus Keys, and the Halo which was marketed under the Ensoniq name. All of these third-series Proteus synths were equipped with four ROM slots; each came with one slot loaded from the factory depending on the model, and the other three could be loaded with expansion cards containing sounds from other models, making "hybrid" models possible. A notable feature of this series was that they were 32-part multitimbral; to make this actually work, they contained 'A' and 'B' MIDI interfaces, with the 'B' interface being treated as logical channels 17-32 internally. Production of all Proteus hardware models ceased by 2005. The final product in the Proteus line was the Proteus X soft synth, which operated as a VST plug-in or a stand-alone application. In order to authorize it, it required the computer to be equipped with an E-mu sound card or MIDI interface, which limited its sales. It was planned that Proteus was to marry Marina until he volunteered himself for execution in Sinbad's place. She then snuck away to Sinbad's ship to make sure that Sinbad would bring the Book back and save him. Marina's feelings changed, and Proteus did not hold it against her. He encouraged her to follow her dreams and let her return to Sinbad and break the engagement. At the very least, Proteus was fond of Marina. A large drawback to Proteus' powers is an insatiable need to "feed on" and siphon life energy. In his natural form, he exists as pure psionic energy, with the ability to body-jump into other organic human forms, stealing their energies, memories, and lives, burning out their physical forms rather quickly and leaving the corpses as nothing more than withered husks. The use of his reality warping powers in a host body greatly speeds up the physical degeneration and forces Proteus to frequently transfer his form into a new body to survive. Although he is immensely powerful, Proteus has a strong weakness to most metals. His form energy form can be dispersed by metal, effectively "killing" him. In a host body, even the touch of metal against his skin burns him, and metal protruding through the insides of a body acts as a poison, often forcing him to abandon it and seek out a new host. Special circumstances occur when Proteus inhabits the body of Morph; this host body not only provides insulation from Proteus' metal weakness, but is also immune to physical degeneration. The lack of these vulnerabilities makes Proteus virtually unstoppable. The Exiles, however, were able to defeat him in this form by using a behavior modification device, brainwashing him into only accessing Morph's memories. Heather Hudson theorized that should Proteus re-emerge in Morph's body and gain the information stored in the Crystal Palace, it would bring about the complete and utter destruction of the Multiverse, one Earth and dimension at a time. The bottom part of Proteus will now be terraformed into a volcanic atmosphere simular to Venus. This can also start to turn to the right temperature also creating a surface similar to Earth's. Complete The Reviving Legend. Available after 18 Party Members. When the Brahe reaches the last known location of the Prometheus, Proteus finds only the Bellerophon and a few other UNSC vessels. Proteus fabricates an outright lie, saying that rebels have commandeered his vessel, and that the Brahe must be destroyed. After downloading himself onto a longsword fighter's computer and leaving the ship, the Brahe is destroyed. Proteus is still on board the Bellerophon, as the Bellerophon's thread has become inactive recently. Some possible weeks (months?) later, Proteus became anxious and decided to change the registry information on several shipping containers, changing their data to that of humorous or amusing items. Proteus is an alternate character of Kona 'Valkadon, despite being created first. In the 4th RPG, which is set in 2535, a slightly different variant of this story is told. Proteus is created in 2531 after the battle of Harvest. After an error in Proteus is discovered, UNSC programmers attempt to fix it. They believe that they have done so, but have also inadvertently flawed Proteus' Riemann Matrix, thus making him less protected from Rampancy. A short time later, Proteus goes rampant and commandeers the Brahe and its crew. After faking his death by being struck by a covenant vessel and pretending to crash into an asteroid, Proteus jettisons the crew into space and begins altering the cruiser to suit his needs, such as creating robotic servants and scrapping the air filtration system for spare parts. He then left the asteroid belt he was hiding in and slipspace jumped to an unknown destination. In the 4th RPG, Proteus is Kona's main character. Kevin MacTaggert is the son of Dr. For years, Kevin remained inside his cell, sustained by isoteric energy fields that kept his body from burning itself out, until one day, after a battle between Magneto and the X-Men, his cell was damaged and Kevin was able to escape when he took over the body of Angus MacWhirther. During his escape, Kevin came into contact with Phoenix, Polaris, and Multiple Man. While he was able to defeat Polaris and Multiple Man, he barely escaped with his life when he confronted Phoenix. Without the isosteric energy fields of his cell to sustain him, Kevin began to burn his body out. The only solution he could find was to possess human host bodies, one after another, including one of Multiple Man's duplicates, Ferdie Duncan, an unnamed policeman, and Jennie Banks. Kevin eventually encountered the X-Men and proceeded to rename himself "Proteus," after the Greek god. Proteus eventually went to Edinburgh, to possess his father, Joseph. After possessing his father, Proteus made a last stand against the X-Men. Joseph MacTaggert's body was destroyed in the battle. Before Proteus could take another host, Colossus punched Proteus in his energy form. Due to Proteus' intolerance for metal, he was unable to maintain his energy form. His energy was therefore dispersed across the world, and the X-Men and Moira assumed that he had been killed. Some time after his death, Moira MacTaggert thought about cloning Kevin, but she was discouraged successfully by her boyfriend Sean Cassidy. Several years later, A.I.M. attempted to recreate Proteus. The organization used a woman named Harness and her mutant son, Piecemeal, to absorb all of the dispersed energy of Proteus. Piecemeal and Harness encountered the New Mutants, but escaped them. As the boy went about absorbing the energy, his body grew too large for his system to handle. Eventually, what was left of Proteus' consciousness and Piecemeal merged as one being after Piecemeal absorbed all the extant Proteus energy. The combined efforts of the New Warriors, the New Mutants, the Muir Islanders, and the original X-Factor wasn't enough against this new creature. When the amalgamated being decided that it would not find happiness, it decided to disperse once more, effectively committing "suicide". In the twelfth season, Miss Mary Marvel, a famous storyteller, read stories about the legend at a special show. Later, Peter Sam found a neglected statue of Proteus that was lost for many years. The statue was then restored and is now preserved in a park near the Skarloey Railway. Proteus (Kevin MacTaggert) is invisible to telepathic scans and most detection devices and can shift between realities. He is the son of Moira MacTaggert. Best of Enemies is the fifth episode of Series 2 of Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet. Proteus was an Olympian god who had the ability to "shape shift" into the form of any other living being he wanted. Once, while in the form of a handsome young warrior, Proteus stumbled upon Daniella who was bathing in a lake near Volos. He fell in love with her instantly but Daniella noticed his reflection in the water. His reflection showed Proteus' true appearance. Daniella was frightened and scorned Proteus. After that, angry and frustrated, Proteus began committing small crimes in Volos and each time he did, he took the form of a local villager. Finally, he took the form of Daniella's father, Thanis. In that form, he knocked Trilos unconscious and stole his money. The real Thanis was convicted of the crime and nearly had his hands cut off as a sentence until Hercules was able to convince Proteus to admit to his crimes. He did so and the villagers released Thanis. After he apologized, Proteus turned himself into a dove and flew away from Volos.
