"Saurians, also known as the Raptors or the Zaterrians, are a species or reptilian humanoid who evolved from dinosaurs who have evolved a bipedal stance as well as an obviously larger brain than their ancestors. Due to some unknown evolution (potentially from some form of psychic defense) they seem to be able to alter their form and either appear human (and likely in the forms of other species as well) as well as becoming invisible. They also possess a powerful corrosive fluid that can easily burn right through steel and certainly through human flesh, in a similar manner to acid, although it apparently is not an acid; Saurians themselves do not have a defense against this weapon, and it can kill them as well. Before their downfall, they used a matriarchal society that was so important to them that if one were to drift away from the influence of their matriarch or a surrogate they would slowly lose sanity, thereby losing the ability to maintain an alternate form (a heavy indication that the evolution is in fact a mental ability projected into the minds of others). The Saurians once thrived in Earthrealm, but were eventually driven from their homeworld by a war waged between the Elder Gods, Raiden, and Shinnok. In an attempt to survive extinction, they fled to the realm of Zaterra, where they thrived once more (although in the end this attempt at survival would prove futile). When Shao Kahn, the emperor of Outworld, invaded and merged his realm with that of Zaterra, the Saurians were seemingly driven to extinction. There are only two known survivors of the species: Reptile and Khameleon, although one could assume that Chameleon is one as well considering his similar abilities and name style."@en . . The Sathar descended in waves on the unsuspecting Saurians and their neighbors, destroying whole populations in the process. Unused to war, the Saurians nevertheless fought bravely against the worms. In the end, their efforts were futile. With their defenses decimated and racial destruction imminent, the Saurian governments prepared dozens of starships to transport hundreds of thousands of citizens on a massive exodus. To save as many as possible, the ships were filled to capacity with passengers placed in stasis. The majority of the computer-guided vessels were launched in the direction of the Frontier, although ships were sent out in many other directions. The Saurians had earlier intercepted radio signals from the Frontier that were part of a plan by the Pan-Galactic Corporation to contact other sentient races, in hopes of developing more interstellar trade. The Saurians did not send all of their ships in that direction, though, lest the signals prove to be a Sathar trick. The main body of Saurian starships eventually entered the Theseus system and were boarded by crews from UPF vessels. Only a few thousand Saurians were brought out of stasis at first, until space could be found on other worlds on which they could settle. At present, two hundred thousand Saurians now live and work throughout the Frontier, but nineteen Saurian starships (with over five hundred thousand colonists aboard, in stasis) remain in solar orbit at Theseus. Finding space for these beings is still a problem, though plans are underway to ship them to Lossend (Timeon)."@en . . "masive fangs"@en . . "Saurian"@pt . . . . . . "There are currently three dialects of the Saurian language, which is divided between the three core species. The language of the Slann is the most eloquent form of Saurian. However, the Slann rarely bother to speak it. They can communicate with each other by means of telepathy and so restrict their speech to dictating their prophecies to the Skink scribes and issuing their directives. The Slann's use of words are usually reduced to a bare minimum of words and are enigmatic to say the least. As such, it is the Skinks duty to interpret its meaning.[1a] The Skinks are the most vocal of the Lizardmen race as they are the builders and crafters of their society. They speak a dialect known as Skinkian, and as such do most of the talking and all of the reading and writing. They do not speak fast, but in long sentences laboriously constructed in a low, kroaking tone. They use much gesticulation to help communicate because all Saurian words are vague in precise meaning and yet must be used to convey the profound thoughts of their masters, the Slann.[1a] Crude Saurian is the dialect of Saurian spoken by the Saurus and to an extent the Kroxigors. The Saurus are not really capable of pronouncing many words at all. They are far better at fearsome roars and blood-curdling battlecries then actual speech. When they do speak in Saurian, it often comes out deep and harsh. As such, most of their vocabulary is limited to only fifty or so words that is mostly associated with fighting. It is their leaders job then to string these words into coordinated orders and battle plans for their cohorts.[1a]"@en . .
