Birthmark
rdfs:comment
Birthmark - is any sort of mark on the skin obtained during, before, or after passing through the baby hole. They come in extravagant shapes and sizes and often appear on the lower back or on either booby on girls or arms and back on boys. A birthmark is one of two types of benign congenital discolourations on the skin. They are caused by either an excess of pigment or an abnormal growth of blood vessels. Pigment birthmarks tend to be genetic in origin, but blood vessel birthmarks are not. Birthmarks are generally harmless, but may be removed for cosmetic purposes. On the series, Gregory House thought Thomas Bell was his biological father because they shared a pair of birthmarks - one on the shoulder and the other on the penis. A young man and his new bride were honeymooning in Paris. They were having a wonderful time when she decided to see if he truly loved her. She asked him if he would love her even if she wasn't beautiful, he told her he would. As weeks turned into months the man finally gave up on finding his beautiful wife, and his life fell into a shambles, he was so filled with grief. A birthmark was a discoloration on the skin, which was present at birth or appeared shortly afterwards. Hoshi Sato had a birthmark on her nose. In 2152, she believed that using the transporter had moved it a centimeter lower than it had been previously. Doctor Phlox commented that it looked lovely in its new location. She responded to his flippant remark by wondering aloud, "If that machine could move a birthmark, who knows what else it could do?" (ENT: "Vanishing Point") Charles Tucker III had a birthmark on his right side; in 2153, this birthmark was shared by Sim. (ENT: "Similitude") It is rumored that Alexander has a birthmark on his bottom, mentioned in KQ III. Rosella had him reveal it to her when she was captured by the dragon. A "birthmark" is a tattoo of the phrase "I am ___", the blank being filled by a person's name. It goes on the small of the back, and is used to confirm a person's true identity in case they are wiped or imprinted.

Birthmark - is any sort of mark on the skin obtained during, before, or after passing through the baby hole. They come in extravagant shapes and sizes and often appear on the lower back or on either booby on girls or arms and back on boys. A "birthmark" is a tattoo of the phrase "I am ___", the blank being filled by a person's name. It goes on the small of the back, and is used to confirm a person's true identity in case they are wiped or imprinted. (ENT: "Similitude") Roberta Lincoln had two birthmarks – a small mole on her left shoulder and a somewhat larger, star-shaped mark on a portion of her anatomy she preferred not to discuss in public. (TOS: "Assignment: Earth" ) Wesley Crusher had a birthmark somewhere on the lower part of his body. Robin Lefler's Starfleet Academy friends informed her of this, and she teased Wesley about it on his return to the USS Enterprise-D in 2368. (TNG: "The Game" ) A young man and his new bride were honeymooning in Paris. They were having a wonderful time when she decided to see if he truly loved her. She asked him if he would love her even if she wasn't beautiful, he told her he would. So she slowly started removing her make up revealing a birthmark on her face. He really loved her but he was shocked when he saw it. After seeing his expression she left and didn't return. With time the man began to fear the worst and went to the police. The police thought it was most likely that the girl simply had second thoughts about the marriage, but they checked out anyway and found no evidence of foul play. As weeks turned into months the man finally gave up on finding his beautiful wife, and his life fell into a shambles, he was so filled with grief. Unable to hold a job or go on with his life, he took to wandering the world looking for anything that might ease his pain. Years later in Borneo he came upon a freak show in an old shabby building. He went in on a whim. In the last filthy cage he saw a twisted, scarred and mutilated woman rocking back and forth and groaning strange animal-like noises. He screamed as he recognized the birthmark on his wife's face. It is rumored that Alexander has a birthmark on his bottom, mentioned in KQ III. Rosella had him reveal it to her when she was captured by the dragon. A birthmark is one of two types of benign congenital discolourations on the skin.
