Not to be confused with a certain Decepticon. Examples of Oil Slick include: In 19 BBY, near the end of the Clone Wars, R2-D2 was captured by two Separatist B2 super battle droids aboard General Grievous's flagship, Invisible Hand. To elude capture, he released his oil slick, causing the battle droids to lose their footing. The astromech droid then activated his rocket boosters, igniting the oil and incinerating his captors. Oil Slick is a Decepticon from Transformers Animated. He created the deadly weapon and disease Cosmic Rust. He is a chemical warrior and transforms into a motorcycle. ===Animated Cartoon=== Oil Slick debuted in Transwarped as part of Strika's crew. In motorcycle mode, he rolled alongside Strika. The Autobot Brawn threw a large boulder at him but he swiftly blocked it. Later, after Rodimus Prime ordered Brawn and Ironhide to fall back, Oil Slick created an oil puddle to slip the 2 Autobots up for Cyclonus' attack. Later, after all but Rodimus Prime had been defeated, the remaining Autobot threatened the Decepticons to foil their plan. Oil Slick denied this and stopped Rodimus with his deadly Cosmic Rust. Oil Slick is a four player and Commander's Challenge map used in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising. It can be used against cops and other racers. The Oil Slick can cause cops or other racers to lose control of their vehicle after driving over it. It can be replaced by Spike Strips. The weapon will expel a streak of slippery oil behind its user's race car, causing no damage of its own yet all but eliminating the tire traction of those who drive over it (causing its victims to lose control, especially at high speeds). The flame slick is identical, except the oil is set aflame, delivering crippling damage to opponent racers. Oil Slick is Ben's Petrolean alien. KITT could spray a thick layer of oil out his Oil Jets to cause pursuing cars to slip off the road. ("Knight of the Phoenix") Lured by promises of power, Oil Slick abandoned the Autobot code and joined the cult of Galvatron under the command of Obsidian. One of the standard tools to try to lose someone when driving. When in a vehicle, simply push a button and the car somehow spills out oil behind, designed to make the person behind slip out of control. See also Slippery Skid. Not to be confused with a certain Decepticon. Examples of Oil Slick include: Name(s) Pick-up Ammo capacity Volley Duration The oil slick and its dark eco variant the flame slick are defensive racing weapons featured in Jak X: Combat Racing. Both weapons deploy oil for roughly two seconds, meaning the faster your vehicle is going the longer the streak of oil will be. Thirty seconds after the weapon is first activated, the oil will begin to evaporate in the order in which it was deployed, taking the same amount of time it took to deploy to evaporate. The most effective use of the oil slick is to strategically deploy it around sharp turns or in areas where control is otherwise necessary to avoid crashing (such as in front of a split in the road). However, it can also be somewhat useful in deterring unsuspecting tailgaters. Other than this, the oil slick is notably inferior to other red eco pick-ups, as it is clearly visible ahead of time due to its oily glisten, and easily avoidable with jump jets or responsive driving. The flame slick on the other hand is much more useful, as the damage it deals to opponent drivers is outstanding. However it is still visible and easily avoidable, even moreso due to the flames, therefore strategic placement is still necessary. Description: A Derby Ability for pets in the Derby Races.
