The Yellowstone Mines are a large collection of highly productive gold mines found beneath the Moonstone Hills. They were found by Zharradan Marr and used to finance the early growth of his army and forces, but now serve only to increase his wealth in the event of his actually needing it. They were originally in the care of Hannicus the wizard, but his incompetence led to him being replaced by the malevolent Darramouss. This change of stewardship also turned the mines from harsh places to work into slave mines, known and feared as such by those who live within Marr's sphere of influence.
