A poltergeist (German for noisy ghost) is a term for a supposed spirit or ghost that manifests by moving and influencing inanimate objects (rather than through visible presence or vocalization). Stories featuring poltergeists typically focus heavily on raps, thumps, knocks, footsteps, and bed-shaking, all without a discernable point of origin or physical reason for occurrence. Filch is a poltergeist in Sonic the Comic. The member of the Sky Pirates was shot by Captain Plunder when the lizard took his last biscuit. The murder has given Filch a new lease of life, so to speak, granting him an increased role in Sky Pirate heists. As a poltergeist, Filch can move things without touching them (since he can't actually touch anything). This came in handy on a raid of Doctor Robotnik's ship, the Robotnicus, with Filch phasing into the secure safe and "pulling" a lever that opened the door from the inside. Despite this, Filch has never used these powers again and specifically mentioned a lack of being able to do anything useful as an excuse to get away from the Spice Maidens and learn about King Akotek.

n15:abstract
A Poltergeist is a being, or manifestation, which affects the physical world. Poltergeists are often noisy, disruptive and even destructive. Poltergeists (called Boffins in the PAL versions) are a type of ghost in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They are orange and possess large brains. While Luigi explores the Gloomy Manor, Professor E. Gadd insists he captured this ghost for research. An Ancient Poltergeist is the mini-boss of Old Clockworks, and a Strong Poltergeist is the mini-boss of Treacherous Mansion. Poltergeists also appear in the bonus mission in Gloomy Manor and the Old Clockworks. A large Poltergeist called The Brain is the final boss for the local co-op mode, ScareScraper. Level: Ghost 9 Spell Resistance: no Summoning a swarm of furniture above you, you telekinetically slam it in to your enemies in a barrage of tables and sofas. Make a full attack on creatures as if your reach was 60 feet. You gain an additional attack at your highest base attack bonus. Every attack that hits deals normal damage as well as an additional 5d6 damage. For every 2 attacks you land on a single enemy, that enemy takes an additional number of damage equal to 5d6+your charisma modifier. No one enemy can be the subject of that secondary ability more than once per round. Green Arrow use the Poltergeists make up the principle types of spontaneous material manifestations. Many accounts of poltergeist activity detail objects being thrown about the room, furniture being moved, and even people being levitated. A few poltergeists have even been known to speak. A Poltergeist is a rare, invisible ghostly phenomenon that manifests itself by moving and influencing objects, generally in a particular location such as a house or room or place within a house. Poltergeists are known for all sorts of troubling habits, mainly causing objects to move or loud noises, as well as other phenomena. They haunt one specific location at time, generally those inhabited by a large number of adolescents, and either "[came] with the building," or chose to enter it at some point. They occasionally haunt the homes of Muggles. They are among the creatures classed as Non-Human Spiritous Apparitions. Poltergeists generally do not have a physical form, with one notable exception being Peeves, the poltergeist that haunts Hogwarts Castle. He is considered "the most notorious and troublesome poltergeist in British history." A Poltergeist, from German poltern - to cause noise, and Geist - spirit or ghost, is a certain phenomenon in folklore and paranormal research. is not really a 'being' in itself, but rather the non-corporeal manifestation of a psychic phenomenon emitted from a source that can be either a living being with psychic abilities or alternatively having been entangled with the locale in which it manifests by a person departing the world of the living. As such, the Poltergeist in its manifest form (objects moving without apparent ) cannot be directly attacked by physical means. Unlike its name suggests, the Poltergeist is not (necessarily, at least) an undead - it is an emanating psychic phenomenon that can originate from the psychic remains of a deceased person, but it can also emanate from the mind of a living entity - either an apparently ordinary human, or certain organic fragments or artificial organisms. Psi-emitters, properly calibrated, may also be capable of inflicting such effects. The Poltergeist is a pattern of using telekinetic influence, it is not necessarily any telekinetic influence upon the environment - a psionic skilled at telekinetic influence can use his or her powers in a way that would qualify as a poltergeist, however, the reverse is not always possible - that is, a person from which a poltergeist emanates may not be skilled at controlling their powers in a more measured, precise way, as they often manifest from the subconsciousness. However, maintaining a poltergeist also takes a substantial amount of energy, so not all psionic individuals may be capable of creating such a phenomenon under ordinary circumstances, even if they exhibit telekinetic powers (such as moving a coin across a table over a short distance, a classic). In his normal form, the Poltergeist is invisible and hard to aim at. However, it is visible under several circumstances - it can be viewed with the IR Goggles, briefly becomes visible if exposed to damage, certain lighting, radiation or electric fields, or for a brief moment when readying and using its OD. It appears as a floating, ghostly little girl in a flowing dress, surrounded by a blueish tint. The whole appearance has a blueish tint to it and is transparent. However, this form cannot be harmed. Instead, the Poltergeist can only be defeated in two ways - one is by destroying objects it throws. Every time an object is thrown, part of the being becomes physical to exert a force upon that object. If such objects are destroyed, the Poltergeist's originating body takes psychic damage. The second method is to attack and kill the Poltergeist's originating body - which can be located far away from the manifestation - itself with physical damage. The Poltergeist is also subject to psychic damage in its ghostly form, however it will usually retreat to its physical body when heavily damaged this way and its originator cannot be killed with this method (unless the attack traces back to the body and attacks the body in return). Should the Poltergeist's noncorporeal form be killed psychically however, the originator will suffer tremendous trauma and possibly perish as well, or at least enter a coma. Nosebleeds are characteristic. One of the more mischievous types of Spirit are the Poltergeists. They generally seek to frighten the living by tossing objects about and making a nuisance of themselves.[1a] Poltergeists are similar to Ghosts, but they love to frighten mortals and play tricks on them. Why some of the dead become Ghosts and others Poltergeists is a subject of debate.[1b] <default>Poltergeist</default> Status Klasyfikacja Ministerstwa Magii Naturalne występowanie Pokrewne gatunki Alternatywne nazwy gatunku Pokarm Skóra Oczy Włosy Pióra Wzrost Długość Rozpiętośc skrzydeł Śmiertelność Cechy szczególne Przynależność Uzyskiwane składniki eliksirów Poltergeist — złośliwe stworzenie, które nawiedza domy i zamki. They are able to manipulate physical objects, whether by direct contact or through telekinesis is unclear, because they can also make themselves invisible. They tend to be mischievous and mean-spirited. It is unknown if they are the spirits of the dead like ghosts are. This is the name to designate an invisible spirit who manipulates objects with the purpose to scare people. They are usually mischievous and annoying, and sometimes they can become dangerous. Poltergeists are one of the original five Shades that appeared in Orpheus. Much like their namesake, they’re known for their ability to cause chaos and panic through their fury. Poltergeists have four tiers of Horrors to work with. Poltergeists are universally frustrated people, but can differ in how they handle that frustration. Some constantly whine and complain, and others try to escape from society completely by secluding themselves. Either way, they are frequently bitter and tend to explode with little provocation. Bravo, Child, and Judge are three Natures typically seen in Poltergeists. Poltergeists’ ability to move and manipulate items is represented by silver tendrils, made from Vitality, which attach to things and can be used to throw them around haphazardly, or to carefully place them into a desired position. These tendrils have no effect on flesh or gauze and can only be use on inanimate objects, unless the Crucible Horror Puppet Storm is used. Because Poltergeists prefer a direct method of communication instead of manipulating people’s emotions, they do not work well with the abilities of the Wisps. Therefore, Poltergeists are banned from taking Wisp Horrors. Poltergeists have many things in common with the Arcanoi Outrage and Pandemonium from Wraith: The Oblivion. A poltergeist was a mischievous spirit that supposedly manifested itself by noise and the creation of disorder. In 2367, Captain Jean-Luc Picard jokingly suggested to Lieutenant Worf that a poltergeist may have been responsible for knocking his desk monitor and other items onto the floor in his ready room. Poltergeist is a 1982 horror movie followed by two sequels, a TV series, and a remake in 2015. The Poltergeist (ピコピコグラス, Pikopikogurasu, Picopico Glass in the Japanese version), also known by fans as the Shatter Glass, is the second boss of the Zeppelin Stages in Rosenkreuzstilette. At first glance, the room the player enters appears seemingly empty, until the stain glass in the background breaks and forms into a living cluster of glass shards that seeks the player until they are disposed of. During the battle, sections of the stain glass will break, scattering in the air before forming into a small cluster of glass shards slowly seeking the player. Its best to find a safe opening before the glass shards before the debris can hit the player before forming in the small glass clusters. When the glass cluster is formed, stay away from it as much as possible. After each cluster of glass shards is destroyed, the glass clusters will gradually move faster and faster as the Poltergeist becomes closer to defeat. This process is repeated throughout the battle. When the Poltergeist reaches Desperation Mode, the smaller glass clusters will form in a way that the debris will hit the player if they do not take the necessary maneuvers to avoid them. After the stain glass in the background is completely broken, it would appear that stain glass is completely broken, but the frame of the stain glass in the room will break and form into one large glass cluster that is much stronger than the smaller clusters and will seek the player very quickly. The Poltergeist's weakness is the Geisterwand, obtained from Schwer-Muta Casasola Merkle. A ghost that causes mischief and enjoys terrorizing humans and animals. They lift and move objects around and make loud and unexplainable noises. They are often associated with paranormal activity, and, rarely, demonic possession. A poltergeist (from the German polter, meaning "to rumble", "to make a noise" and geist, meaning "ghost" or "spirit") is a type of ghost or other supernatural entity that manifests by creating noise or moving objects. While the term itself comes from German, poltergeist activity has been reported in nearly every culture, becoming part of the folklore in India, the United States, Japan, Brazil, and other countries. Several scientific theories regarding poltergeist activity have been proposed, including tremors, air currents, ultra-infra sound waves or unexplained losses of gravity, though true believers maintain that there is no stable scientific explanation for poltergeists. The, uh, not so scientific theories vary between ghosts and nonconscious, uncontrolled telekinesis. For the movie of the same name, go here. Poltergeist is a 2017 Fantasy supernatural Horror Film remake of the 1982 horror film. It is written by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White and directed by Vadim Perelman. It stars Nicholas Brendon, Monica Staggs, Charlie Tahan, Avery Phillips, Christine Haeberman, Magda Szubanski, Joan Cusack, Paul Dano and Nick Stahl. In the August of 2005, the body of a teenage girl was found in the trunk of a car in an apartment complex in Pheonix, Arizona. She was identified as Collieen Beverely, a senior at Window Rock High School. The cause of Beverely's death was blood loss, as her throat and wrists had been slit. Officials ruled out suicide from multiple defensive fractures, the forensic team were confident that she had been murdered as well. They reasoned that she was forced into the truck, hands tied behind her back, then had her throat and wrists cut. They determined that she was in the trunk for three days. The news of Beverely's death shook her family and friends. It was clear that she was very well liked, and that hardly anyone would want to kill her. The police searched her apartment, her parents were paying for her to live on her own, and discovered, what one officer remarks, "A war zone." Beverely's apartment was ransacked, though it was clear nothing was taken, from what Beverely's parents said, everything was on the floor. The only thing that peaked the police's attention was the laptop sitting on the window ledge outside. It had been rebooted, wiped clean, and one file had been added, a few hours after Beverely was killed. Police viewed the video, and did not release their findings to the public due to the bizarre nature of the video. The video was five minutes and thirty-four seconds long, consisting of Beverely walking out of her bathroom, visible to the left of the frame, and noticing something out of place. She places it back in its original position, then goes to the right of the screen. She isn't visible for another four seconds, until something moves (You cannot see the thing that moved in the video, which leads the investigators to believe it was either behind the camera, or in the bathroom). Beverely walks to the center of the room, looking around for what moves. Then, the bathroom door, which had been left open, slams, causing Beverely to scream. She stumbled back, turns around, and another door is heard slamming to the right, presumably the bathroom door that cannot be seen in the video. Behind Beverely, a picture frame slowly begins to turn counter clockwise, unknown to Beverely. It begins to pick up speed, and is eventually flung off the wall. The rest of the video is objects flying about, with Beverely caught in the middle of the mayhem. At four minutes and fifty-three seconds, the front door opens, and everything ceases to move. Beverely can be seen being dragged out by an unseen force, screaming and struggling to get free. At exactly five minutes, the computer is picked up from behind, and placed on the window ledge. Mumbling can be heard in the background, then laughing. Audio experts were brought in, and they managed to clear up the sounds so that they could hear what was being said. Though they couldn't retrieve all of what was said, they did manage to get, "Lautes Geister", which translates into "noisy ghost" from German. Police were considering the possibility that a poltergeist, a German folktale that roughly translates into "Noisy Spirit", but it was eventually ruled out. Police have yet to release this information to the public, and anyone working on the case were forbidden to speak of it.
