Night Black is a wolf goddess, the mate of the wolf god Old White. She appears at the very end of Wolf-Speaker, along with her mate. Daine sees Old White on a ledge and points him out to Brokefang. Brokefang tells her who he is and points out that the black patch behind Old White, which looks like a shadow, is actually his mate Night Black. Daine looks at the two with her magic and sees silver fire wreathing in them, much like the badger god. Daine calls to them, but when Numair asks who she's talking to, Night Black and Old White have vanished.
