In Astro-Knights Island you have to travel into space to rescue Elyana and the three knights, as well as defeat Mordred to complete the Island. It appears that the rules of the Lorian universe are actually very similar to those of our own Terran universe. Travel is limited by the speed of light, the laws of thermodynamics rule, etc. The only difference is that magic can bend these rules. The Shattered Worlds, for example, obey no laws of physics but for the ones travelers bring to them. In Mario Party 5, with the introduction of the new capsule system, the characters are able to throw capsules on either a Blue Space or Red Space and are treated as traps. If a character lands on a space with a capsule trap, they will be subjected to both the capsule and spaces effects. However, in Mario Party 6, when an orb is thrown on a space, the character will only be subjected to the effects of the orbs. In the earlier Mario Party games, the effects of the spaces changed during the Last Five Turns event. Near the four corners of the flag are four six-pointed stars. In Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, the room unlocks the Falconess and is found in the Dungeon of Torment, the second level of the Castle Stronghold. Below is an example of Deep Space. See how deep that was? The word space was often attached to other words to denote otherworldliness. Though the Twelfth Doctor insisted that people didn't add the word to things like restaurant, champagne or hat to make terms like space restaurant, Clara Oswald pointed out space suit and space pirate as examples to the contrary. The first LEGO Space sets were a leap forward in classic LEGO design. The theme had more sets than any other space theme. In 1987, many of the sets started to have the Futuron colour theme. 1987 was also the last year Classic Space was produced. Many compared to the LEGO Company's previous releases of spacecraft sets 801 Space Rocket (1964), 358 Rocket Base (1973), and 565 Moon Landing (1975) this new theme of sets boasted new parts and building techniques previously unseen. Although plenty of basic bricks were used, there were now parts with finer detail used in smoother-looking ships and multi-purpose vehicles. The Spacemen came in all colours, with robots and vehicles with a large colour scheme. Star Wars: Dark Horizons features a fully functional space navigation and combat system which represents all major elements of the Star Wars space experience, from small starfighters to vast capital ships, from dogfights to freighting to blockade. It commands both physical and metaphysical space, useful not only for travel and viewing distant events, but for erecting wards and determining the connections between things. Common applications of the Space Arcanum include teleportation, scrying, improving spatial awareness and manipulating the sympathetic connections between objects and/or people. Space governs the manipulation of distance, dimension, and scale. The powers granted by the Arcanum allow a mage skilled in its use to perform a wide range of abilities. Space is the plane of existence comprising the known universe. If a starship reaches warp 10 on the 24th century warp factor scale, it exists at every point in the spacetime continuum at once. (VOY: "Threshold") The Krenim temporal weapon ship used by Annorax worked by pushing targets outside of the spacetime continuum, thus "deleting" them from history. (VOY: "Year of Hell") Disruption of the spacetime continuum can have serious repercussions. Such phenomena have been encountered by numerous starships throughout the galaxy. Space, or "The Final Frontier," is a big empty thing that serves no real purpose to people in life except for astronauts who like to float around in it and dump their waste matter in it. It is what is traversed by the Heart of Gold. It is what is left of Earth, along with many particles of dust, when it is destroyed. It is also infinite. It is constantly expanding. Because of this fact, "it is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. The parents of Ignignokt and Err were briefly mentioned in "Moonajuana." Of course, there may not be any inhabitants, because the show barely has an continuity. In the closing credits, the Aqua Teens are seen blasting off into space and being stranded on the moon. This idea was revisited in a fantasy sequence within the film. Space is the sixth installment to the Research Guides collection. Space, or "The Final Frontier," is a big empty thing that serves no real purpose to people in life except for astronauts who like to float around in it and dump their waste matter in it. Astronauts dump their faeces and urine into space because the people on earth don't want junk floating in the sky and flying into their car windshields! Since 1994 it belongs to Berlusconi - who uses it to dump his mistresses when they turn eighteen. He's got the right to do so and if you say otherwise you're a filthy commie judge. Space was discovered in 1307 by a couch who was called Flaturiticus, who theorised that all things must have a space in which they reside. His theory has generally been accepted until very recent times - but it was finally discredited in the 1980's by the Council of Worshipful Couch Potatoes. In 2002, after a heated debate between several theoretical philosophy groups, it became clear the Council did not disagree with Flaturiticus about the principle of space, but only of the substances it should contain. The Council adamantly adhered (and continues to do so) to their more modern list of beer, chips and remote control. "We just want to be able to eat without moving away from the TV set", explained the spokesman of the Council in the famous 2003 press conference in Vienna. After the initial turmoil this incident caused in scientific circles, things returned back to normal. Space continues to be accepted as a place where things reside. In recent times, the entirety of space has been condensed into one small bar. However, as the amount of power required to sustain this condensed space is only capable to advanced electronic systems, these so called "space bars" are only found very close to computers. Space, stylized as SPACE, is a music venue located near Arisa's home. It was made by the owner who used to perform in a band to stop the stereotype that music venues are scary. Space is created especially for girl bands. There is an audition process that bands have to go through in order to perform in this location. It is the fifth level released for the game and has four game modes in it. Space is one of the ten Arcana of Mage: The Awakening, the Gross ruling Arcanum of Pandemonium. Such a mage can instantaneously travel from one place to another with the use of portals and teleportation. One may view far-off locales by means of scrying, or create barriers to block scrying and any other remote senses or prevent teleportation into his demesne, or perform any number of other effects. This Arcanum is usually employed by Mastigos, as its powers of mobility and remote viewing are most useful in their perpetual intrigues. Its associated summoning is the Imp and the Exarch that supervises it is the Eye. Within Astral Space, Space is incorporated through the Aeon Dahhak. One of the Foundational Forces of the Second-Generation Creation, that embodies the boundless, three-dimensional extent in which objects and events occur and have relative position and direction. It serves as a balance to its counterpart Time and is also considered complementary to the foundational force of Order. There would not be much to discuss about space if there were no spacecraft. Space is after all the last frontier, first pioneered in the 1960's and still being colonized very slowly. In the future, trips to space will become more frequent, as humanity adapts to space and alters it to reflect its own needs. But it is unlikely that space exploration will happen in a traditional sci-fi way, because we will not need the resources. We will not need rare ore (because everything can be made of carbon) or some exotic plants (because everything can be designed and nanomanufactured). We will not need super-powerful sources of energy, because you can easily convert solar energy into anti-matter. We will not need planets to grow food or produce stuff, because food can be manufactured anywhere using just basic atoms (with nanotechnology) and solar or fusion energy. We will not need living space, because there is enough space for trillions of people in the Solar system space settlements. Also, to answer all the demands above we will have perfect virtual reality where people take much less space and energy compared to real world. And by the time we run out of resources here (or they are simply not sufficient any longer) we would become quite strange beings indeed. However, the drive to colonize space still exists. A permanent human prescence beyond Earth/Terra would double the species' chance of long-term survival. In the same way that successful species on Earth have always migrated and spread from their original habitats, it is very likely that some humans will do the same. __NOEDITSECTION__ thumb|305px|Die TARDIS-Besatzung ist überrascht Space ist eine 4-minütige Mini-Episode, die am 18.03. 2011 im Rahmen des Comic Relief ausgestrahlt wurde. Space is one of the most basic and most important components of the Hitchhiker's Guide series. It is what Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect are launched into after enduring Vogon poetry. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination." The guide also says that "If you hold a lung-full of air, you can survive in the total vacuum of space for about 30 seconds. But with space being really big and all, the chances of being picked up within that time are 2 to the power of 2,079,460,347 to 1 against, which by a staggering coincidence is also the telephone number of the Islington Flat where Arthur went to a fancy dress party, and met a very nice young woman whom he totally blew it with." "Space" is the ninth episode of the first season of The X-Files. Space an emty vacume outside of earth that goes on for infinity It was introduced in the level Marble Materials Lab. Space is a Treasure Room that allows the player to unlock either the Wizard's alternate form, the Jackal or the Valkyrie's alternate form, the Falconess. In Gauntlet: Legends, this room is found in the Frozen Camp, the second level of the Ice Domain and unlocks the Jackal. In Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, the room unlocks the Falconess and is found in the Dungeon of Torment, the second level of the Castle Stronghold. The Unspeakables working in the Space division of the are the most brilliant astronomers in the country, though they go completely unknown. The wizarding world has shown little to no interest in exploring the stars, but there are those who prefer unlocking the secrets above to the ones all around them. While some would say wizards cannot move on to another realm before understanding their own, the Unspeakables who work here would claim that understanding that which surrounds us will give us greater clarity and understanding of our own world. The Unspeakables working in the Space division use information gathered by muggle space exploration to further their own knowledge and understanding of the universe. Regularly they manage to acquire samples from the muggle astrological association for testing. They can be seen as conspiracy theory fanatics at first glimpse, often chasing supposed alien sightings. They have discovered magical extraterrestrials and alien technology. Some of the things and beings being attributed to the effects of the wild magic that is now let loose are actual extraterrestrial in nature and completely unaffected by the wild magic. This is often where the Department of Mysteries most often steps in with the . Some of the things Unspeakables are studying in this division: • The creation and destruction of a star • The material composition of a star • The affects of the moon upon people on earth • Why the moon effects Lycanthropes • Can the moon's effects on humans and lycanthropes be countered or altered? • Muggle exploration of the universe • Gravitational pull and how it may be altered • The effect of using materials from other planets and stars in potions • The possibility of other dimensions and planes of existence • The details of apparition, why and how it works and whether or not this could be utilised off planet • Is it possible to cause a rift in the wall that separates alternate/parallel worlds if they exist? • Work with the Time department regarding spacetime and it's alteration • Space travel through means similar to a portkey • Adapting alien technology and magics to wizarding use • Communications with extraterrestrial forms • Finding out as much as possible about the origins of the extraterrestrials they capture • Mapping the universe, including which planets are habitable and have intelligent life on them Star Wars: Dark Horizons features a fully functional space navigation and combat system which represents all major elements of the Star Wars space experience, from small starfighters to vast capital ships, from dogfights to freighting to blockade. The system is turn-based and abstract, for ease of roleplay and to emphasize grand strategy. Space was introduced in Star Wars Galaxies in the Jump to Lightspeed expansion. Characters can use player controlled ships to explore, navigate, engage in combat and space mining. Space is the vast nothingness that all planets, suns, moons and stars inhabit. Although space is a vacuum, adventures have seen people able to breathe and talk in outer space. On the planet of Shanazar, a race is held between two competitors in space, the loser forfeiting the life of his entire crew. An alternative to space is the Special Zone, which has its own planets, moons and laws of physics. Space is still a very dangerous place even by Sixth World standards. Despite this the megacorporation are pursuing limited manned exploration with a number of facilities in Earth or Lunar orbit. There is also at least one facility in Solar orbit, and a small base on Mars. Where the heavy objects are light and where there is no matter. Space is one of the four cosmos elements. It's land counterpart is Earth. As earth is the means of surface on land, space is the surface of the cosmos. The Element of Space is numerically the eighth Element of the ten. It represents movement and destruction, it is ruled by Alucard. It's Elemental is a being called Krad. Space (also known as outer space) is the near-emptiness of the universe that exists outside the atmospheres of planets and other celestial bodies. Despite curiosities and oddities such as steering wheels used to direct spacecraft, and often no inflight pilot protection other than a spacesuit, simple new constructs sparked builders' imaginations. Starting with spaceships and basic wheeled vehicles, the theme developed, occasionally mirroring science fiction designs. As LEGO Space expanded, the basic pattern of ground-buggies, walking robots, small and large spaceships, and bases emerged. There was even a mobile base, one of the earliest released. Early Space sets had a simplistically modern, yet colourful, charm unrivaled by any other mass-produced science-fiction toy of the time. Many of the theme's more specialized pieces had yet to be developed, although when Space was first introduced many parts were new, or were older parts made in new colours. Examples of these early simple sets include: 462 Rocket Launcher (1978), 442 Space Shuttle, and 452 Mobile Tracking Station (both 1979). Perfectly suited for utilitarian LEGO Space, gray (now replaced by stone colours) had finally become a major colour for a LEGO theme, especially as more plate-type parts were made in that colour. Most often, gray Space sets were paired with green windows. The other predominant colours were blue with yellow windows. With the introduction of the 6929 Starfleet Voyager in 1981, classic spaceships began to appear in white, with blue canopies, in a similar style to the upcoming Futuron. The numbering of Space sets suggests that LEGO had already planned out their sets all the way through Insectoids, as the set number of the ship increased, so did the ship size. Most of the sets did not have a number directly below or above the number of another set from the theme, instead being next to sets from other Space themes. Other than the odd numbering of Unitron, which were in the 1000s (and the Monorail Transport Base is the exception, with a 6000 set number), the pattern was more or less concise. Space, also called the Universe and Everywhere, has no official flag. However, the most commonly used flag of Space is shown in this article. The Space flag consists of a blue background, with six circles arranged in a hexagonal pattern (see image), which is colored from outside to inside, red, white, blue, and white. Near the four corners of the flag are four six-pointed stars. Space is the main location of the final season of Regular Show. In the Autobots' base on Earth, Bud direly wants to travel into space. He manages to talk Jolt into thinking it's a good idea, and Jolt in turn convinces Scattorshot to take Bud into orbit on their "big, invisible space bridge", which is in fact a big, invisible bridge. In the British Isles, Optimus Prime, Vector Prime, and a few other Autobots are checking out a set of standing stones for clues to the location of the Omega Lock. This appears to involve having Landmine dig a big hole in the ground. Back at the base, Jetfire is wondering where Scattorshot is, and Coby and Lori are wondering where Bud is. On the space bridge over Earth, Bud is having the time of his life. Scattorshot, however, spots Starscream and Thundercracker approaching the British Isles. The two Decepticons attack Vector Prime, but a stray missile flies into space and knocks Scattorshot and Bud off the bridge. 'Scream and 'Cracker concentrate their fire on Vector Prime. Optimus invokes his Massive Attack Mode, Starscream transforms and summons his cyber key, then Optimus summons his cyber key, giving us a solid minute of stock footage. We then immediately cut to Landmine and Overhaul on the ground, who can only see the battle as fuzzy explosions in the distance. They call Jetfire for backup. Back at base, Lori and Coby finally get Jolt to tell them where Bud is. He does, and predictably, they flip out. Coby triangulates Scattorshot's position and finds that they're drifting helplessly. They call Jetfire to go and save them. Jolt and Coby also take off to help. Just as Jetfire is about to rescue Scattorshot and Bud, a random satellite knocks them apart and sends Scattorshot and Bud into the atmosphere. Their force-field begins to heat up, and Bud has minutes to live. The battle in the British Isles is largely stalemated until Overhaul summons his cyber key and blasts Thundercracker. Starscream orders a retreat. Jolt, Jetfire, Optimus, and Vector Prime all try to reach Scattorshot's force-field bubble before Bud dies, but it's falling too fast. Suddenly, in a burst of white light, Scattorshot and Bud vanish, then rematerialize inside the base. Jolt reveals that Vector Prime has taught him how to open dimension gates, which can be used to teleport people to safety. Meanwhile, on Velocitron... Hot Shot and Red Alert are searching for the Cyber Planet Key. Hot Shot desperately wants to try out the raceways that cover the planet's surface by challenging one of the locals, but Red Alert reminds him that Optimus ordered them not to talk to the Velocitronians, much less race. Elsewhere on the planet, Override is casually racing a few generics, when she suddenly sees Megatron standing solidly in the road ahead of her. She bears down on him, then transforms to robot mode and skids by him on her feet, just missing him. He asks her, as planetary leader, to tell him where to find the Cyber Planet Key. She says she'll tell him...if he can beat her in a race. He accepts. The race is extremely close, but Override wins by inches. Megatron apparently takes this calmly, but inside is seething that she must have cheated. As he walks away, she tells him that, in fact, she never heard of this planet key thing, she just wanted to race. Later, Megatron tells his witless minions, Crumplezone and Ransack, about his fruitless race with Override. Crumplezone suggests Brakedown as a source of info, and Megatron instructs them to shake the old geezer down. Elsewhere, Hot Shot and Red Alert watch from a distance as Dirt Boss summons his cyber key (switching himself to highway mode). Hot Shot points out that finding the key without talking to any of the locals will be royally difficult. Red Alert tells him to think of it as a challenge. They then spot Crumplezone and Ransack mugging Brakedown and Clocker. The thugs apparently decide to skip this whole "asking about the planet key" thing and are instead about to slag Brakedown, when Hot Shot leaps to the rescue, knocking the miscreants away. Red Alert flips out. In Star Trek: Arcadia, the term "timespace continuum" also developed and became used interchangeably, while denoting slightly different connotations. (Star Trek: Arcadia) The IC setting of TF2k5 takes place on several different worlds in the galaxy, and because of this, space travel is a daily fact of life for many characters on this MUSH. To avoid the rather sticky technical details of 'hyperspace' or 'warp' technology, all superluminal travel has been lumped under the blanket category of FTL: Faster Than Light. In order to purchase FTL as an ability, there should be sufficient IC justification for the ability: FTL systems are ICly a costly and extensive modification to have added, and few of the factions on this MUSH have the resources to do this to just anyone. (Obviously, the Flight and Space-Flight abilities are required as well.) In the interests of fairness and realism, as well as keeping the game system manageable, there are a few basic rules that apply to space travel and FTL: * You can't use FTL within a solar system, due to the gravitational forces there. * You can't use space-flight to travel between regions of deep space (well, you CAN, but it'll take you a few centuries or so, so we're not letting you.) * NO ONE CAN LEAVE A SHIP TRAVELING FTL! A ship must slow to subluminal speeds to allow passengers to disembark. * Only people with space-flight or space-walk ability can do anything very well outside a shuttle while in space. People without these abilities can feel free to bumble. This is why people with Space-Walk, Space-Flight, and FTL get a slight combat bonus in the appropriate room-types. thumb|304px Space – mapa występująca w modyfikacji Little Fighter Night. Space is where all the planets in the galaxy are located, and where Star Wars takes place. The word space was often attached to other words to denote otherworldliness. Though the Twelfth Doctor insisted that people didn't add the word to things like restaurant, champagne or hat to make terms like space restaurant, Clara Oswald pointed out space suit and space pirate as examples to the contrary. (TV: Sleep No More) Space on Science Fictionista ja tieteiskirjallisuudesta ammentava teema, joka on eräs pitkäaikaisimmista teemoista. Space is a science fiction serial created by James .N. Rogers. It revolves around five robots launched to Alpha Centauri to explore planets orbiting them and search for possible life forms. However, they discover that they are being followed by alien probes, whose masters have already wiped out the human race, are trying to kill them. SLASH'EM introduces one new creature that uses the blank space glyph: * shadow "" Space, also known as "that thing up there," is the location of everything other than America's planet, including the stars, the universe, Africa, the International Space Station, the black hole that pissed Stephen off, and things pertaining to intelligence. It also includes all the stuff we'll have to pass by on our way to New Earth. There are many ideas related to space, and people think it's really important for lots of reasons. Space, the final frontier... It has an interesting property that it goes on and on and on and on... It just cant stop! So it goes for all eternity beyond the worlds. Science A shared universe set in the year 2400 onwards. the main planet is earth, but there should be hundreds of other planets involved. its mainly a war for territory between the races and planets, but with some diplomacy and normal life as well. Unfortunately many of the resources and links on this 'Space' wiki page at WUaS were deleted and removed, with no record in the wiki history ... am rebuilding ... and you can too. 1 : a period of time ; also : its duration 2 a : a limited extent in one, two, or three dimensions : DISTANCE , AREA , VOLUME b : an extent set apart or available 3 : one of the degrees between or above or below the lines of a musical staff -- compare LINE 4 a : a boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and events occur and have relative position and direction b : physical space independent of what occupies it -- called also absolute space 5 : the region beyond the earth's atmosphere or beyond the solar system 6 a : a blank area separating words or lines b : material used to produce such blank area ; especially : a piece of type less than one en in width 7 : a set of mathematical elements and especially of abstractions of all the points on a line, in a plane, or in physical space ; especially : a set of mathematical entities with a set of axioms of geometric character -- compare The square or squares that a character occupies. A Small or Medium character occupies 1 square. A Large character occupies 4 squares. A Huge character occupies 9 squares. Even bigger creatures can exist that take up larger spaces.
